If were talking about curing disease, no one has any right, to argue against its use. Every citizen in the United States has the three natural rights, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness, it is unconstitutional to deny anyone the right to life. I'd like to think simple genetic improvements, or removal of bad disease-genes, is a good thing.

Although the more extreme modifications we may see in the future, not so much.

On a side note, did you know it's possibly to alter the genes of a person who's already fully grown? Using certain gene theropies, or in the near future, a retro-virus built to deliver new genes to all the cells in a body. We may see incredible new cures and enhancements eventually, even in an already developed person.
