  • I think a lot of people will use anything, the Bible, atheism, and other things to hate and blame other people no matter what, just to put themselves up. I'm a Christian and I do believe what the bible says. Yes, it does say that being gay is bad, but it also says that lying is bad. Every single person alive has lied at some point, including myself. Because of that, I am no better than someone who is gay. To me, as long as you don't hurt anybody and are respectful, you can do whatever you want.

  • i agree 100% about the bible...u are like the most free thiking, smart. articulate person I ever heard in my life...it is ashame that most people on this planet don't think like u...the world would be a much better place..u are 1 in a million....

  • i love this video

  • I get totally what you're saying man.

I was thinking a lot about what you're saying, and theorised that the lack of empathy you allude to stems from our evolutionary past where it was benefitial to wish detriment upon other groups and only care about the well-being of those you identify as belonging to the same group as you, i.e. a pack mentality. Any thoughts?

  • You're an interesting guy. A free thinker. And, yes, an empathetic man. You're alright in my book.

  • this made me thought about how i discriminate people, and how i myself am discriminated also. thoughts of this make me wish i couldn't speak, or had lack of communication, so that i couldn't say these sort of things, because i do it and i don't mean it. say what you like agains me i don't mind. but thanks for making me think.

  • people have to take the Bible in the right context people are twisting the Bible to fit them... yes it can be confusing... we have to show brotherly love for each other but people are too judgemental even some Christians im a Christian i believe that its wrong to be gay theres even physical proof of that but i treat gays with BROTHERLY love now im not perfect as we all have fallen short of the glory of God but through Christ we have eternal life

  • As long as you bear in mind that individuals do not freely choose what to believe or disbelieve, then I have no problem with your stance. In that way you would despise the ideology that developed the individual into a hatemonger instead of being like the hatemonger and hating the individual, because at that point your ideology would be analogous to the hatemonger's religion. The psychological defense mechanism that turned the girl away from you to protect her existing mindset was >=/<= reflexive

  • its funny how you act SOOO SAD boohoo.. that some one makes you feel "judged".. and you cant understand discrimination, but you are discriminating right here judging and putting others down (christians) Just worry about yourself!

  • Well put. CHECK AND MATE

  • very well said. More people need to view this

  • Perhaps those watching this video know of the writings of Burtrant Russel: "Why I am not a Christian." It is a very memorable extended essay as I recall (from like about 30 years ago.) I DO believe your thoughts on the subject to be sound and commend you for making such a superb video.

  • Yeah, we all have our own agendas, and tend to be self-centred. It's very easy to lose sight of other people's human rights.

  • I hope I live long enough to see evangelicals become a fringe group no one takes seriously, especially our government. Some of the horrible rationalizations they use to abuse fellow humans are crazier than anything David Icke could come up with. Nevermind that you're more likely to discover a vast reptilian conspiracy than you are to hear from good ol' Jehovah.

P.S. Both of them are made up to sell books and negatively influence people and governments.

  • "the Bible can be used to hate anyone"

it can also be used to love anyone.

  • well said :3

  • I'm not accepted.

And i don't care for acceptance.

  • Yes, it is impossible to make anything of the Bible by reading it as an ordinary book. I think it can be compared to a murder mystery novel, in which the author provides clues, but doesn't give the solution. Everyone will then disagree about which solution is correct. The only way to find the answer is to contact the author. I think the Bible is like that. You can't understand it without contacting God, who is supposed to be the ultimate author. So how do you contact God? That is the question.

  • nicely said.

  • I think that the empathy has been bludgeoned out of us. We're all too terrified of it.

I always wanted to have to declare i took a nazarite oath to get out of cutting my hair (i went to a jewish highschool).

The Jehovah Witnesses are the only Christians to return to the original text for translation. And the only christians to have the balls to say Jehovah, you'd never hear a jew say that.

  • i accept everyone as long as there not different from me in a way society has demonized.

  • Awesome message man.

    5 stars.

  • Here in the United States, I think atheists are actually less trusted than homosexuals, muslims and "racial minorities". I saw some statistics leaning that way at least.

I think it's important to fight for all human rights... That's why I don't talk about "gay rights" or any other shit like that. That gets me in trouble with other homosexuals, but oh well.

  • Well other here (in the UK) the bible is meaningless. I don't even know any real christians (not counting the ones who just say that they are).

Personally I see all religions has something that people use has a barrier in which they hate anything they want.
