@asbani911 There is no Am in this song! The chords are a C shape (and Csus2) , Em shape (and EmSus6), open G (and Gsus4), and there is a Dmaj in the ending section. The guitar is capoed at the 2nd fret which makes the chords D, F#m, A(major), and E(major), along with the suspensions. And what you call "flashing" is a hammer-on and pull-off.

Mate, I give it a B...here's what you need to get an A. First of all, i know your ad-libbing some of the chord ornamentations, but try to stay truer to Thom's ryhthms and chords because it's very specific to cause the emotion. Also, don't try to "sex up" your voice as much..sing without thinking about it...Thom sings is ghostly and real, not sexy and cool. Finally, your guitar transitioned a second too quick after the dramatic late-song hold note.
