Her first book The OutCast was amazing read! 10/10 However the second book Small Wars in my opinion I found to be a let down. It was no way near as good as her The Outcast first book. Sadie Jones clearly did her research however she failed to make this an exciting read. It was ill written I almost couldn't believe this was written by the same author. The characters weren't that interesting and I didn't feel engaged as a reader only in some small scenes.
I was very moved by the video, as I was by the book. The author has a beautiful, lived-in face, and a voice in which feelings are always in play - especially feelings of love. For me love is central to the book - the need for it, the lack of it, its presence, its power, the way it can go wrong, and tumble or leak into hatred. The meeting of Lewis and Kit at the end is both fairy tale, and completely real and earthy. Which is part of the magic that Sadie Jones brings to the book.
Oh man, I loved that book. I need a movie of it NOW. ><

I thought this book was so well written... when Elizabeth drowned I nearly cried, it was so emotionally written.

I was so impressed with this book. It's her first book and it holds strong characters that tell of a powerful story. I would say it's a must read!
