I have never heard of the White Rose-funny thing is I have been railing against Neo Nazis on Youtube and they accused me of being White Rose. Now that I have seen this I am flattered. I would like to know more.
Even if they only convinced only one German that Hitler was evil, their sacrifice was not in vain.
Besides, if you were witness of the unspeable acts of evil the Germans did on the eastern front, how could you stay silent?
Lastly, they did not bring other people in danger. The Germans, who for the biggest part were always so obiedient to every authority, wether it be their pastor or the Fuhrer, simply would have given the pamfles to the authorities.
They were young. They were foolish. They thought they could inspire others to awaken and see what was happening. It was their protest, and should be respected as such. Such a sad and violent end to people who protested against a crazy world.
They made 6 seditious pamplets over a very short period of time and strew them about the hallways of their school, leaving ANYONE who picked one up and got caught with it at risk. They endangered the lives of anyone who innocently picked one off the floor, and they accomplished nothing in the process. They got caught after a couple of months and got their heads chopped off. The end.

Another treasure that goes unnoticed at 8,237 views while other videos about nonsense gain ratings in the millions. I am very greatful that you posted this and youtube viewers would value people such as those who made up the white rose to took a stand against Hitler by doing what they could not make excuses when they could have easily done so.

The ones who should be highlighted every February 22nd are the ones who persecuted them and the cowards who watched from the sidelines. White Rose exhibited not a rash act but a normal human impulse to protect life. Reading the lowest common denominator, lives of their brothers were at stake and they stepped in. He is an amazing man. We met him, quite by chance, in Munich this summer. It was a great inspiration. More people need to hear the story of these brace people.
