I took a class at Fermi-lab in Batavia, IL, (a location of one of the AS&S stores) and we used an observatory telescope (admittedly a very powerful telescope) to look at the moon landing site, as well as several transmitters planted in the moon's surface that continuously sent information to Earth for a couple decades.
