  • i`ve been nikon for years, but just bought this 7d and i must say it knocks spots off the nikon.

  • @NIGHTSKYE1 Same here, Nikon user for 12 years. Wanted D3s, 12.1Mp 720p HD. Got the EOS 7D 18Mp and Full HD! 1/3 cheaper in price too! Glad to have made the move!

  • hummm no thanks, i prefer my nikon :P

  • you're wrong we're looking at it, you're showing it.

  • @famousPhotog i disagree, on all the review sites i checked the 7d does just as and in some points better than the d300s in noise tests and with 33% more pixels.

  • Definitely a much more interesting background compared to your bedroom sofa! Shame about the noise. The shirt looks better here too!

  • Before purchasing the Canon 7D, please do yourself a favor and google "darwin wiggett 7D" and read the detailed review and the follow-up comments.

The Canon marketing muppeteers ruined the 7D when they incorporated the input from photo newbies and wannabees, individuals who must still mistakenly believe that high resolution equates to high image quality, when usually just the opposite is true.

I am even more unhappy about the 7D, than I am about the flubbed G11, which says a lot.

  • for some reason i feel like he's going to say, "now let's go to Hobbiton"

  • I really wonder if the sealing is better than a 5d2. Canon seems to only seal the 1-series well.

  • ISO performance, seems to favor the 5dmkII, but the 7D is a nice big step over the 50D.

  • Can u compare the 5 and 7d?

  • 5D Mark II is a full-frame (as in, equivalent to 35mm film size) camera that shoots at 21 megapixels, but at a maximum 5 frames per second. it also doesn't shoot movies above 30 frames per second and lacks the digital level.

the 7D is a crop frame, 18-megapixel camera, but it shoots at a faster 8 frames per second and can shoot 720p movies at 60 frames per second. of course, it has the level.

  • Canon Eos 5D MKII, only have 3.9 fps, not 5. Also the body/weather seeling is better on the Canon 7D.

  • the level is just a gimmick, why would you honestly need it?

  • for shooting video it's actually quite nice.

  • I use it all the time its an excellent feature.

  • @dryadssaddle to do photos of architeture? To make horizons straight out of the camera and save you some time on croping?

  • @dryadssaddle some ppl are cheap to buy stuff for leveling so this could be usefull for landscapers. my 2 cents

  • @ANTRASPS3 i know what it's for but i just think the grid on the screen and the focus points are more than enough to show you if the camera is level.

  • this camera is sweeet!
