  • Why most of 1990's commercials had people screaming ?

  • @haraferraz

Because somewhere in the mid 1990s someone thought the word Extreme should go into everything from shirts to cartoons on tv. Ex: Extreme Ghostbusters, Extreme Doritios etc.

  • Wow Prodigy was my first internet company. Their were the best. When i got my fisrt pc from compusa, you could get 400 dollars off by signing up for prodigy or america online everyone that worked in the store said to go with prodigy. They created the internet portal. You could chat.. join message boards anything right from the homepage. I remember when they got dsl. I was in heaven. Those early internet days in the eary 90's were the best. I miss those days. Internet is filled with crap now.

  • This might be one of the most annoying commercials I've ever seen.

  • ohh... Barry!! :D

  • I was in this commercial when i was like 10 yrs old (the little black kid with dreads) but maybe because of the resolution i could'nt see myself?

  • I tried to install Prodigy on my XT around 1990. It was my first computer and only had monochrome text graphics. I couldn't figure out why Prodigy wouldn't run. I was only 7, that's my only excuse.

The kicker is that it came as part of a modem package we bought at Costco. I think it was a 9600baud modem and we probably paid around $100 for it.

At least I was able to do text BBSes.

  • there was a different one with hippies.

  • I remember Prodigy also.... didn't Yahoo partner up with AT&T, and bought them out of existance?

  • I had prodigy!

  • I miss Prodigy. Had them from 1994-2007. Well, had it until SMC Yahoo took it over in 2002. Sucked after that but at least I was able to keep my email address until I switched to another service in 2007 and even at that, Yahoo let me keep my old emails with a new email address!

  • I had Prodigy in 1992... good time, good times. Then AOL came along and oh man, watch out

  • @phreakindee Prodigy back in the day was great. The chat rooms everyone knew eachother. I haven't been in a chat room in years and never will again. The good ol days are gone.Atleast I was there and saw the being of the World Wide Web.

  • Well, no wonder my friend asked "Isn't that an old internet service provider?" when I was trying to refer him to a good band.

  • I had Prodigy & AOL at the same time. A Prodigy disk came with my old Packard Bell comp in 1998 so I went for the free hours. When the trial was over I called them to cancel (I wanted to stay with AOL)-they gave me a HARD time about canceling & asked me why I was canceling, kept trying to get me to stay, after about 25 min they finally gave up & cancelled my account.

  • ...they just want your money.

  • BARRY WHITE!! LOL.....RIP man.

  • I also forgot... this was the first video I ever saw on a computer in my life lol

  • Oh shit I remember this it came on my Packard Bell in 1996

  • If this is the disk I'm thinking of-- and I hope you still have it-- was there a music video on it that went something like "I've got a girl who's got eight arms; wraps 'em around as she holds me tight?"

  • HOLY SHIT! Dude.. I have that .avi file! I had that cd also, but it got scratched up and I couldn't access it. I finally found it recently and spent 2-3 days getting the disk to work just to get that damn song. Those were the EXACT lyrics I remembered so I'm trying to find a copy of the actual song. I seriously can't believe this. I've come across some really weird shit on the internet but you are the only person I've ever heard mention that video.

  • wtf that was very gay

  • ... Messed up.
