Can you make VB.Net 2008 advanced login form with three failed attempts and prompts a user to specify A password hint just in case he forget his password? All fields should be linked to a database utility like MSSQL Server or Navicat, MYSQL..
Wow... you guys this video is entirely sarcastic. If you couldn't get that by time it said: "You get paid for the lines of code you write" then god have mercy on your souls.
hey you boon what shit do you mean with Real Programmers dont use SQL ?? where are you living ? do you know what sql is?
try to make simple hello world app and then try do criticize programming in a whole. such boons like you should go home to mumy :D an what the fuck programmer is programming with a single cpu with 256 MB ram haha standard min dual core 2 GB ram rofl
I laughed out loud reading this. Man, I LOVED DELPHI!!!! But finally caved in and went with Visual Studio quite a few years ago. Such a sad day for me. But since Anders is running C#, he is doing a great job and I really like C#. But there was something about the Delphi language that just made me love programming like no other language has done. :-(
Lol. I can't believe how much easier VS 2008 has made my life as code. Now I can actually focus on problem solving and clean coding! Excellent top 10. But for true: VS 2008 is freakin' resource hog :)
It really is. It's the first version I actually like, I've tried VS6, 2003 and 2005 before and every time I've switched to an open source alternative. Not now, it just does everything so much better than the alternatives, and to me it feels like it takes less CPU and memory.
If it weren't for the below comments, I would have thought this was serious! (well... at least until past #8). I've been hesitant to upgrade, but I guess I shouldn't be afraid anymore! Nice work.

lol this video is trash
VB 2008 is way easier and has more features then VB 2005.
"Real" programmers do use SQL to manage data.
Any computer that has enough memory to run VB 2005 can download VB 2008 in less then 2 hours.
Have you even tried VB 2008, can you even program?

lolz i think vb8 codes look more easier than coding in vb6 xD

In VS2008 the new split view is awful, it crashes everytime :(

Id say, real programmers do use LINQ.
Nothing wrong with 2005, just that, i cant live without my LINQ and the 3.5 integrated IDE anymore.
Heres to progress !

visual 2008 is the best dev. tool! It is a must.
LINQ is a great help and VS2008 helps you with that.
Buy Visual Studio 2008 NOW, and you will have the productivity you need to buy a quad core processor.
