  • Actually unless u have at least 4Gb of RAM snow leopard boots a 32bit kernel XD. Windows 8 sounds pretty kool, can't wait. I also upgraded to 64bit version and it actually seems faster then the 32bit version.

    Nice video.

  • Not as cool as Mac OS X snow leopard's replacement so go figure!!

  • I disagree, Windows 8 is supposed to even top OS X SL, by a bit, such as implementing 128-bit coding in some aspects, etc. and it will also have backwards compatibility, because while CPU's most likely won't have support for a full 128-bit kernel, Windows 8 will.

Well, Snow Leopard was the last OS in the Mac OS X series.

So, what's next Mac OS XI? Mac OS 11?

Will it support high end games, etc?

    Windows, without a doubt, will.

  • Also, Windows 7 beat Snow Leopard, according to many reviews.

  • Fuck those reviews, Windows 7 is pretty much on Par with OS X SL. Each had their owns pro's and con's. I don't dislike PCs and still have to use them every day. The only thing I don't like about PCs is that manufacturers of PCs don't know how to make something with the same build quality and design of Apple whilst staying at the prices of apple. Windows is great and for power users is better than Mac OS X. As has been said before, The best computer to run Windows is a mac

  • @technowizard101 lol, I disagree.

    I consider a Mac a PC.

When OS X can run the majority of software, then it will be on par with Windows.

A Mac has the same hardware as any other computer, it's just made to fit a different form factor, and in some cases have less performance, and the BEST computer to run Windows on is a custom rig, which can outdo any Mac.

  • Its clear that there is no reasoning with such an M$ fanboi. Macs look better and are built better. FACT. Of course there are faster machines out there but the design and quality of a Mac computer combined with a good Windows OS (or Mac OS - depending on choice) is a damn awesome PC. Besides, Apple Soldier was being an unreasonable bitch. As steve Jobs has said before "apple would not take on Microsoft as they would lose", they are just different products aimed at different people.

  • I am not a fanboy, in the sense, AppleSoldier is to Apple.

Macs have no customization, 1 iMac looks the same as another iMac, assuming they are the same iMac series and model.

All a iMac is a shell of hard plastic, that's it.

A Mac Pro is an Aluminum case, guess what?

So are other computer cases, they just have plastic covers on them, the inside of my case is an aluminum chassis, the outside is plastic, because it looks better than formed metal.

  • For starters, the imac is an aluminium shell. And secondly, a plastic box might look better to you but not everyone.

I could honestly says that every Pc i have seen has been a shiny black/silver box thats noisy in operation, covered in stickers are have more wires around the back than a cable store. Thats such an attractive proposition.

Same goes for Windows Laptops, they all look ugly, are noisy and are more plasticky than a childs toy.

  • The iMac 27" maybe, but this:

    wealthworldblog. com /wp-content/uploads/2009/11/imac .jpg

    Is a plastic shell.

I have no problem with aluminum exteriors, but if all I can get with Apple is silver, white, gray, and black, sorry, I don't want to look at my computer, and think I am in the 1930s, with the monochromatic look, while I prefer black cases, etc. I also like them to have some decals and design features that stand out.

  • The imac in the pic is three years old, they haven't been made like that for a while. You need to check your facts before you make random claims about a company and try to prove it with a quick picture off google images.

  • The iMac is an all in one, that's why it's quite and has hardly any cables. Have you see the Dell Studio One 19, it's the same way, because it's an all in one.

Also, a Mac Pro has a lot of cables on the back, if you plug them in, because it's not an all in one, it's a tower(desktop) computer.

Ummmm, most the noise is from fans, and to be honest, I can't sit in absolute quite, I prefer some ambient noise, & also, they have fans that run super quite, the only reason it would be loud, b/c...

  • ...they are old fans, or you need to blown the dust out of it, so it run smoother.

lol, ugly? As opposed to a monochrome theme, child stop.

A regular old MacBook is just as plasticky on the outside, the only MacBooks, that appear to not be, are MacBook Air's and MacBook Pro's.

Hmmm, every Windows based laptop I have used, is quite as space, old laptops had a hum, from the HDD, but not anymore.

  • It's funny, Apple claims to be such a good little company, yet, they bash Windows every chance they get, I don't see Microsoft doing that to Mac OS, saying they stole it from Xerox, which Apple did.

Microsoft owned part of Apple there for a time, and if it wasn't for MS helping Apple when Jobs came back, Apple might not be where it is today.

Microsoft has done nothing but help Apple, & all Apple can do is make jokes, it's more of the Apple fanboy's that bitch about Windows being "copied."

  • Apple did not steal Mac OS from Xerox. The Mac OS was developed over a whole host of different things which probably has slight similarities to other things.

They both helped each other when they started and set about different goals.

Microsoft have 'borrowed' ideas from OS X like the search bar is a rip-off of Spotlight and elements of the gui have been borrowed, even the bloody chess game on windows is borrowed from OS X.

Microsoft do make jokes about apple, example the laptop hunters ads.

  • Have you ever seen the docudrama "Pirates of Silicon Valley?"

It's a docudrama told by Steve Wozniak, one of the co-founders of Apple, and how Microsoft and Apple started, and stuff.

    /watch?v=zRYhBaTvle4

Actually, Windows has had a search feature since Windows 95 or so, in the start menu it was called 'Find'.

    Name one GUI feature...

So, Windows can't have a chess game?

Chess isn't a game reserved only to Apple, and it's the lamest example, ever.

  • Give it a rest. I have forgotten the reason why this is even an arguement.

Windows 7's task bar and Aero Peak are clear inspirations from Apple's Dock and Expose.

  • You engaged me in this, by posting on my video.

lol, the taskbar feature is an expanded upon feature known for so long as quick launch, present since Windows 98, and the Aero Peak and Expose do completely different things in completely different ways, while they offer the same advantage, browse open windows easier and faster.

  • I did engage you in this and now I'm ending this. In my opinion it was a good video response to a smug apple lover.

  • I can't name one thing I do, that I couldn't do on a Mac.

I can however name countless things I couldn't do, in Mac OS X without the need for emulation software, that I can do in Windows, without emulation software.

  • You mention above that you're not an M$ fanboi but yet your above replies imply that you are such a Fanboi you can't even see past your own Bias. It's Pathetic.

  • I admit I prefer Microsoft Windows over Mac OS, but like I said, AppleSoldier is a fanboy, more so than I will ever be.

I have used both systems, so I am not just looking at this from a Microsoft/ Windows or Windows PC perspective.

  • Fair enough, people have opinions and preferences. That's fine. AppleSoldier is one of those really cocky apple fanbois who can't wake up in the morning without kissing his huge steve jobs picture. Macs and PCs both have their place and its the users choice on what they choose. Although i prefer Mac OS, I still like and use windows but in my opinion, Mac OS is a more polished and 'user friendly' experience.

  • Well, I don't have a Bill Gates picture, like that, lol.

Well, I consider a Mac a PC, in all honesty, because PC means personal computer.

Mac OS's UI hasn't changed a whole lot, compared to Windows, from XP to even 7.

I had the hardest time getting around OS X the first time I used it.

I went from using XP to Vista and 7, without any problems, and Vista and 7 are really different from XP.

  • Coming from a windows user, the first time using a mac is difficult but getting used to it is a very quick process and didn't take me long at all lol.

  • I used an iMac for 3 hours my senior year, for half the school year, and I still was lost in just about, however I did learn enough to restart it, and make it think it just did a OS X installation, so I set up an account, to disable the parental controls on the student account on my computer, lol.

It may be quick to learn, but the OS in general only has one thing I would use, and that's Photo Booth.

I have no need for Garage Band, or iMovie, etc. I have my prefered video editor.

  • I enjoy your video.
