  • Her head is far too trained to the side. Like as if she's posing for some facebook or myspace picture.

  • Its shallow piggish men who make women develop such disorders.

  • You basically everything you say is %100 true. Though I still my ana tendencies so...yeah..

  • living with friend having anorexia and Bulimia

    /watch?v=-GnO_JYpKI4

  • Recovery is mentioned several times: How many recover on their own? How many required hospitalization and professional treatment? Some experts say recovery is not possible because, as these same experts say, anorexia is a permanent brain disorder that can only be controlled. Thoughts?

  • i cant watch her! i cant! she needs to turn her flippin head!!!!!

  • i use to have a firend with bulimia she would leve the school lunch room in middle school and throwup all the food she had just ate i wanted to tell me tec so bad cuz u really hate to see a firend like that

  • My speakers dont work, but your very cute!

  • ... wow... thanks for the video, the insight, and so I can see the point of view you had toward people who asked you to get help before... that helps me understand my friends who are currently recovering from anorexia. I had a friend who seemed to be even more driven to anorexia when I was around, because I was overweight, she didn't want to become like me, picked on like I was, humiliated like I was.

  • everthing you have said. IS the TRUTH!. I lived on a liquid diet for so long. Weak and tired and couldn't think. I had to have help to get food to agree again with me.

  • where did you get your jumper from? xx

  • @Cleeb1 It's by Ralph Lauren x

  • Thank you :)

  • very insightful video, thank you

  • Your video is awesome. Of course the topic is not awesome, not at all, but I think it takes a very strong person to upload a video like this and to talk about what happened in the past. Just let me tell you, that I think you're absolutely beautiful and your voice is very pleasant to listen to. So carry on, as far as I can see it in this video, you have a great personality so don't let other people get you down! xxx from Germany

  • i <3 your outfit, you are soo pretty!

your videos help soo much too, you have no idea.

  • HEY! so i wanted to let ya know Im starting inpatient tomorrow! haha. im excited but scared. i cant sleep.

    wish me luck!

you should post a video about why to go to inpatient. about ur experience and how its helped you in solo recovery.

could you have suceeded in recovery without inpatient?

  • Good luck :) Hope it all goes well for you, remember it WILL be worth it :) xx

  • it can be fixed if caught early , ive been struggling longer than being normal, its hatder for me because it is now ........me

  • Are you in treatment at the minute? Just curious xx

  • i am in treatment but not in recovery

  • Hope it goes well for you :) I'm the same at the minute. It'll be worth it though :) can't wait to say I was instead of I am :D x

  • Hi Lou thanks so much for this video its great. I completely agree with you that people don't understand eating disorders and this makes it hard for them to emphasise, which I think is sad. I don't know about you but looking back I am not surprised I got an eating disorder, I perceived my life as out of control and the only way to get back any order I felt was to control my diet. This was maladaptive of course because the health effects of this are huge.

  • Yeah, it's true - people think 'eating disorder = thin = Hollywood = stupid women' - how narrow-minded a perception!

I completely agree. Looking back, my life was screaming 'eating disorder in waiting'. I was sexually abused when I was 12, I was severely bullied in high school, I have a severely competitive family, I have an uncompassionate mother who herself has a strange relationship with food... The list does go on - but hey, the insight I have now ROCKS. So happy I can help others. xxx

  • Ah thankyou so so much for this video. You and your videos are such an inspiration to me and i genrally cannot thank you enough!

Iv'e been wanting to make a video response for ages just to show my appreciation and gratefulness, so hopefully i will be able to do that asap! Also i dedicated abit on my profile to you aswell, because like i said you have been such an inspiration and very encouraging. You are the best :) ♥

Oh and sorry for like the last 3/4 comments, it randomly kept posting it :\

  • Ah! <3 Sian, you absolutely darling! You know what, I feel privileged that I CAN inspire people. I was always quite good at public speaking and love expressing myself, it's awesome I can put it to really good use by helping real people going through true hell.

I saw your dedication to me on your profile, and I am honestly so so flattered! I don't honestly know how I deserve it - it doesn't seem real to me that I have such kind and warm-hearted fans. I'm so glad I could help! :) Thank you! xxxx

  • oh! this is SO sweet of you!!! thankyou so much, you really do inspire me. Like you say, people who haven't had an eating disorder find it incredibly hard to understand, so i've never talked about it with my real world friends. It's just amazing to have support from wonderful, beautiful, amazing, inspiring people like you!!! i'll make another video about life/college soon as i get the chance. You are brilliant - I love you Lou!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Lou,

I can relate to most of what you said in your video. I think you're genuinely trying to help people by posting your videos. That's really neat! I'm struggling with ED to a certain extent among other things

  • what you said was so true and so related to how a person with eating disorder feels inside...

  • Thank you so much :)

You are a true inspiration to me and I am sure, to many other people.

You are doing such a great job in your recovery!

You will go very far in your life, keep up the great work :)

    xx

  • I love you Lou! You always remind me that recovery is worth it no matter how much I want to go back to my old ways.

  • your so dead on w everything you say. Great video

  • you really encourage me... its so nice to be able to listen who has been through this... and eventhough i am also now reaching a healthier weight im still miles away from any form of normality... its so annoying when peolple look at me and are like "but you dont have bones popping out everywhere" urgh!!!!

    Thanks again xx

  • I know exactly what you mean. Recovery can happen very quickly, physically - a starved body gains weight will more alacrity than an unhealthy mind sees 'sense'. Keep strong though. Being well is all that matters! xxx

  • thanks for this video, you have so much retrospective insight and I love how you express yourself! You are an inspiration to many :)

  • Thank you so much. I really want to help people get over their illnesses :) Hehe, self-expression is a very precious thing to me! I really hope I do inspire people. That's sometimes what it takes to go from death to life, in your mind. xxx

  • you seem like you are doing much better
