the guys in the video are idiots. 1. sloths dont eat cheese they eat leaves. 2. obviously sloths are slow, thats what they are known for! they dont get much nutrition from their limited diet so they dont have much energy to go fast. 3. if you put it in a tree/bush it would be fine, thats where they normally live. it would have been even better if you put it in water, because they stand no chance on land with the other animals. 1 star for knowing none of those things.

They walk so slow because of the things they eat. The leaves that they eat are low on nutrition so they can't move that fast. Like koalas and pandas do. And they aren't very used to walking so that's why they some times struggle while walking. He was probably just moving to another tree. And no not a hawk lunch because most predators ignore them, but if needed, they can protect themselves from predators with their claws.

Anyone who wants to know if Sloths can defends themselves, yes they can. If you looks at the size of their claws, they can kill Jaguires with those bad boys. And, they can walk somewhat fast if in danger, and can swim better than most animals. They are very interesting.

They can hardly defend themselves. Their claw attacks may wound a slow animal, but are probably more useful for intimidation. And somewhat fast is a great over-exaggeration. 5 meters a minute is still ridiculously slow for an animal that size. Sloths don't really need to defend themselves though. They survive precisely by being so slow. Jaguars, harpy eagles, and its other main predators don't really notice them. They also blend in with trees. One only needs to defend if caught.

Sloths are omnivores, they eat anything that isn't too big. They like juicy stuff, though, that is probably why he did not want the cracker - or maybe he just had more important stuff to do and that was why he was on the ground. They only poop once a wek, he may have been on his way to do that.

Yes they say that they don't want to put him in the tree as he will become hawk lunch. They shouldn't be "putting" him anywhere, we all know that sloths are slow, have moss etc growing on their fur, live in trees and come down occasionally for internal nature calls and change of location.
