  • omg. I thought this was going to be one of these 1 inch range of motion rack pulls. It was not. That was beastly. lol @ dumbell attached to BB. Noone else in the gym could workout because of uyou stealling all the plates from 3 gyms prob :)

  • @dack1337 Rack pulls are a good way to work on the upper portion of your Deadlifts (the lockout phase). They're also great for switching things up a bit and just lifting tons of freaking weight. However, unless you're at the point where your Deadlifts are pretty damn heavy already and you are stalling out (not due to having a crappy diet or needing periodization in your routine), I'd say just stick with Deadlifts for the most part. If you have to ask, then IMO you'd be better off doing DL's.

  • Unbelievable! I've been doing these in my workout but I'm one of those odd people that can't lift as much as I can off the floor. Do you know why that is and what I can do about it? What bodyparts are you training with this exercise?

  • Thanks, but after watching you do 1005 I wouldn't say you weak as a kitten at all, more like strong as a bull! Try useing sweat pants as you do them. It will help the bar slide up your legs without tearing off all the skin.

  • Coming from you I take that as a huge compliment and thanks for the advice. Hope u do get an invite to the Arnold. I know u have unbeaten world records in strongman events, maybe the powers that be r afraid u'll deflate a few egos at the Arnold??

  • I use baby powder for deadlift/rack pulls but you obviously dont need my help lol. good lifting brother

  • @FEINS1 Haha wtf are you talking about 'weak as a kitten' you did a 1000lb+ rack -pull. Doing anything with 1000+lbs means your strong.

  • Thanks, I have been doing this execise for over a decade now and my body is conditioned for it. Tell you what if I ever get invited to the Arnold I will do some damage in the hummer tire DL. LOL the bar bends so much that it hits my legs just like my rack pulls when it comes off the ground.

  • i c u've got a deadlift suit on underneath your clothes. why use the suit for rack pulls from knee and why put it on underneath the clothes? obviously, the suit assists the lift but why try to hide it? if that actually is 1000lbs then u r one hellishly strong mofo even with the suit on.

  • Sorry, no suit on under my clothes! Just shorts, keeps my legs from getting the skin rubbed off while doing the lift.
