  • Haha, I love how you say "I am aware the term Baroque and Roll has been used before, I think Malmsteen .." no....You don't THINK...you KNOW malmsteen had that name haha.

  • guess this fall into the steve vai territory

  • rock on ;D

  • super

  • i noticed you seem to only play with your thumb behind the neck rather than over it like i do, but everyone tells me not to that on an electric.

    anyway i liked it :)

  • @Fiarzen Its considered as bad technique not having the thumb behind the neck, especially if your a classical musician (which I am lol). I would recommended practicing keeping it behind the neck and im sure you will find it much easier to play :)

  • i play classical guitar aswell but on electric people tell me to have the thumb on top, particularly for bends as apparently otherwise its impossible to do it with just your finger muscles, but thats how i learnt to bend anyway. i guess in the end you should be able to switch between the positions anyway.

  • @Fiarzen Haha I do all my bends with the thumb still behind :P theres no excuse for being sloppy haha ;) but if it works for you mate then thats all cool!

  • @DemigodDoesNintendo

watch this video and tell me that having your thumb over the top is sloppy. Zakk wylde - 'farewell ballad' solo - Original

  • @Fiarzen I was refering mainly to classical playing as thats what I am taught in, losing the thumb off the back of the neck in classical playing is definatly considered sloppy. When I went to my audition at the Royal Welsh College of Music thats one of the things they pointed out, they said it disrupted my equilibrium, and this was from John Mills, one of the top classical guitarists around.

  • awesome playing and song! what guitar is that? :)

  • Its a custom guitar built by my dad (he is a luthier). Its a Bentley guitar :) (being as my surname is Bentley, it kinda fits for my dad to name his guitars after it aswell)

  • Cool stuff man, nice way to incorporate barroque into a modern song :)

  • You're damn good at this, you know.

  • wow this is mature....

    Keep up the good work.

  • Whenever I see or hear the word Baroque, the first thing that pops into my head is: HARPSICHORD!

Really nice song man, putting life into classic style (:

  • Cool composition, but it's not baroque just for having strings and a harpsichord.

    5 stars ,anyways.

  • Of course its not, its baroque influenced, there are also baroque features I added in cadences wise and stuff

  • very nice composition man!!!
