  • amazing sound! Just bough the 3 speed conversion set, can't wait to mod my savage x 4.6 and go revving the engine on a very large parking lot!!!

  • Exept a savage or anything at the moment

  • And my hobbyshop owner is great, he let's me work there to gain experience and make money on rc car repairs so I've got the experience of somebody whose bin in the hobby for at least 7 years

  • 1968? Wow I just started about 3 years ago! But I got a job that paise for what I want

  • Were do you guys live?

  • @losiboy454 Salina, Kansas

  • To be onest I don't not like any company, and I would actually love a savage! But nitro is so expensive and I have 3 nitros so I know I'm gonna get one but I'll have to get a better job

  • @losiboy454 I think I have 30 nitro cars and trucks, some old junk, like Thunder Tiger EK4s and EB4s. Been messing with the stuff since 1968...

  • I might need a wheelie bar for the lst because I've darn near ripped off half the body from wheeling or flipping over

  • Lst

  • @losiboy454 The LST is a nice truck, looked at them and ran with them, never drove or owned one. Losi makes quality stuff. With a handle like Losiboy454, I would not imagine you were a Savage fan.....

  • what other nitro 1/8 can wheelie stock?

  • How long do i have to wait until nitro trucks catch up to the power of my E revo? I think i found some competition.... for a nitro i'm impressed, this flies. 3 speed is the coolest shot ever thumbs up!

  • @MrShawnp26 The new brushless stuff has Nitro hands down. I still like the tuning aspect of nitro, it takes an ear for the engine and a little time to learn.

  • that is wicked

  • I love that sound of 3 gears.....

  • what kind of brakes are u using on the white truck. indo

  • It has the old single fiber disk, but a good BLS452 Futaba servo.

  • how fast is it tuned

    btw nice truck

  • @FRYEGUY247 It will not run any faster than that or very little faster. That was an excellent running K5.9 and one I spent a lot of time messing with. The tune was good until I started making those long drawn out high speed runs, then the heat of the engine made it a little lean. If you listen close, you can hear it stutter at hih rpm and run on a little coming off a hard pass.

  • dude strap your camera to your truck and make some sweet videos

  • @middletonk I agree, I want an onboard camera so badly! That camera is about 1/3 the size of the XL.

  • damn i love my xl that thing hauls so much ass its not funny when iam running on tha street i will put on my 40se tires its much much faster but nice video by tha way.............

  • awsome car mate

  • great savage, is the stock savage xl?

  • It was all stock except the 086 exhaust. At that time I had about six gallons on the engine. This was the first of eight that I had and the one I ran the most. The others I built or bought from people that had trouble making them run. A great truck, a LRP 30 with an 053 pipe is even better! Thanks for the comment!

  • While you at it 91w350 - get a wheelie bar? Damn !!! Just hearing that body get scrapped over and over again gave me the willies.

  • It does have a wheelie bar, it just comes up so hard it rolls right over the bar. If you watch at 00:58, you can spot it pretty clearly. 8)

  • lol after i broke in my savage k5.9 i took the k5.9 and put into my savage x 4.1 chassis =)

  • Too lean on both ends...........that engine is begging for mercy! Sounds like it could be geared up too....at least for death runs like this.

  • It is a 17/52 on Terra Pins, that is all the gear I can stuff in a stock set of chassis plates. I think the low end was okay, the high end early was too lean, actually the clips are kind of mixed up as the lean high speed runs came after the others. I was messing with the transmission and failed to bring anything to adjust the carb with. It is shifting nice and has good low power, it is starving and running hot on some of the long runs. I'll go back and snag another video one of these days.

  • @91W350 thats is correct dude ,low end was fine hs was out less then half turn.

  • Make them STACKS!

  • Whoo Whee, I am thinking I need to install dual CENs on that truck then!!

  • Ahhhheeeee !!! I need me one o dem CEN pipes too !

  • You need a CEN pipe on that thing. You will never drive a Picco-powered truck again.

  • you have got to be joking !!! LOL

  • No way dude! the CEN pipe is the best invention ever.

It makes my home-brewed beer ferment quicker, and become more potent, and it makes the ladies HOT for me!
