i dont like how Nolan didnt make gotham "unique" in dark knight he just copy-pasted Chicago an made it gotham without putting new looks,more grittier and darker like he did in Batman Begins
the funny thing i think most people dont know is gotham city is supposed to be mostly new york. my guess is that nolan pushed for the use of chicago so much because new york is overused and is more attached to the spiderman movies now
@TepDavid25 I loved the Narrows even better than Burton's Gotham. I live in New Jersey, and Newark, Kearny, and areas of Jersey City look exactly like Gotham. Look up the old Jersey City Medical Center, and it looks like the real life Arkham. Nolan should be filming here.
i live in chicago! well atleast in he suburbs an hour out of the city, but still i visit all the time! Chicago most def best city in the world. Its soo kool we got to be gotham city too lol :D
no its really that good. i may be a little biased, but chicago is an amazing city. Its like New York but not as chaotic. Its really beautiful here and like alot of pple iv met who hav visited different cities always say chicago is one of ther faves. Nd i love how evryone on our local news always call us gotham city too lol.
yeah its true. i also live right outside of chicago and visit there often. its a great place. we have lake michigan which is beautiful, skyscrapers, great food, not as chaotic as NY id agree with that. most of these locations in the dark knight you could go visit yourself easy.

I guess they wanted to show that Harvey really did clean up the city. Ergo, it wasn't darker. And Chicago has been Gotham City since the 70's.
