Part 2: I got home and made him a ground sirloin steak hoping he knew how grateful I was. I always heard German Shepherds were very protective of their owners, but that day I saw it for myself. He's a fun-loving dog, playing with my grandkids and loves my friends. If not for him that day, I know I would be sitting here now with stitches everywhere, if I was sitting here at all.

Part 1:

A month ago I was walking my GSD and out of no where a pit bull comes racing out of his house running towards us. Quinn, my dog, immediately turned around and placed himself between me and the pit bull who was just a few feet from me. Quinn let out a low gutteral growl as if to say "back off now". The pit bull stopped. Quinn and I calmly turned around and went back on our walk with my heart jumping out of my chest.

@mdragon180 You can clearly see that hero dog running to get to the corner so that he can show that perceptive Trooper he wants him to go around the corner with him. He even looks back to make sure he's coming! He is positioning himself to the side of the road because he knows he will be running along with the car. Oh, of all the magnificent creatures God put on this earth, it is awfully hard to beat the wonders of man's best friend...

Haha. I agree, surprising indeed. This dog was obviously leading him to the fire. At 14 secs to about 16 he kinda appears to be aimlessly wondering but then at 17 secs in you can CLEARLY see the dog kicks it into high gear when he realizes he has the troopers attention.
