Italy always had great stars, they never utilized them. Why is Cassano and Miccoli not in the Azuri squad? They wait until those players are too old and lose their potential until they give them a chance. 2010 world cup squad was horrible, but they seem to have gotten a new star in that qagerella fellow.

I agree, however 'Cassano, Pazzini and Giovinco' (plus Rossi) seem to be Italy's only creative players after Totti-era. And I think Cassano, apart from his temper, is actually very talented and brilliant. I haven't seen enough of the other players so I can't say.

But yeah, I agree with players you mentioned above. For me, it's Baggio->Totti->Cassano
