  • Hi Dave, you're the superbike doctor IMHO. Say, just wondering if my road bike 2010 Ninja 650R suspension can be adjusted? I know the rear shock can be adjusted as I was told. I'm new in bikes and 1.5months riding it weekends only. Strictly on street no track cuz full leather is required to enter the track. Pls advise. BTW, I'm located in Malaysia. Appreciate it thanks.

  • Dave, i've been down on my bike at the track several times over the years and I haven't loosened the lowers and aligned it back up. I plan on doing it today. However, do I need to remove the front wheel and re-install it? I'm wondering if the wheel may keep the forks from aligning properly (since I don't want to have the shocks binding up), btw i have a cbr600rr (03).

  • dave your god :) be very cool to meet u sir 1 day :)

  • Thanks Dave!! I never thought of having to do this after a crash. After 3 get downs, I think i better do this. Thanks again

  • 5-54 Mancunian in a bad Irish accent - I live in Leeds - 40 miles from Manchester and you confused me!!!

  • good info, i dropped my bike very softly, guess i'll have to check the steering out now, thank you

  • @JayzBeerz unfortunately that's essential just to relieve the stress in the lower triple clamps. It is a very simple thing to do and takes very little time indeed. The gains far outweigh the effort! Don't forget to check your handle bar alignment too, and stand back behind the bike about 10 feet and look at the angle and height of the bars.
