I own the ul50vt which comes with two video cards, the intel, and nvidia 2100.. this is a cool feature u can switch video cards for battery life, but the problems is no drivers for them!!! im still using drivers from last year, I called asus and they told me they are working on a solution, because Nvidia or intel wont do any specific drivers for this laptop.

I contacted Nvidia and they told me to upgrade my drivers to a optimus, no luck the UL50vt is not supported..

The laptop has a Core 2 Duo CULV at 1.3 ghz, about twice a powerful as any Intel Atom. Look up benchmarks and you'll see it is plenty sufficient for anything a regular person would want to do (playing media, web browsing, multi-tasking). The point of these laptops are to provide netbook-battery life with a bit more power and laptop form factor.

For everyone who's saying "1.3ghz is too slow," unless you're folding, encoding videos or hardcore gaming, you don't need more than what this has.

I guess you're right but, 1.3 ghz? if it was an quad core it will be pretty good, but a dual core? btw, a lot of people use laptops for Desktop replacements, and then you do need a quad core and min 2gb of ram..

Well, it depends on if you're going to buy a laptop for a desktop replacement or not. But then again I don't think this was ment for that, and not everybody needs a desktop replacement. Somepeople like their PC for desktop and just wants a laptop that you can take with you where ever you're going to go. But I see your point. :)
