  • I agree!

  • I Love This Game And Beat The Whole Thing.

  • interplay also made fallout

  • i still got my dreamcast from 2000 i got the all black sega sport dreamcast that came with nba 2k and nfl 2k

  • Great game. I still play it and now my daughters are into it. It is supposed to be coming to the Wii very soon.

  • Holy wow, people are mad about the Dreamcast's failure.

  • This game was fucking hard lol But, Brilliant:)

  • starwars forced unleash ripped this off!!!!!! lol only the bit when he flies through the sky

  • this game was real famouse in the netherlands i remember this game getting alot of Rep...

  • I played this on DC, sadly it was solid and I didnt get that far but what I saw of it I damn well liked, alot.

  • I played this on the Generator demo disk!

  • I can't believe the Dreamcast got it's ass kicked just because it's rival console had a dvd player.

  • @sheemobile More to it than a dvd player. Sega had disappointed many fans on too many occasions with sega cd, 32x, mega drive, saturn.... They where releasing one console after another in just a years time. A lot of people stopped trusting Sega.

Not me thought, I stuck with them. I still play my DC.

  • I watched my Uncle when he had this game play it at 4. I thought it was crazy at first but I loved it more and more. I became VG junkie ever since n64 and Super Mario :)

  • dude i feel bad for you, I completed this game on jinkies difficulty when I was seven years old....And now im 14, I completed this game on EASY difficulty in 2 hours and 20 minutes (speedRun). and still, THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER!

  • Oooh I remember playing this on my dreamcast with my brother when I was 11. With teamwork, a month and several tantrums we finally finished the game i was so happy. It remains one of the best games I've ever played.

A game that lets u wield 4 guns with the same character and shoot radioactive toasts at man-eating plants? LOVE IT! Only wish more modern games tried to be as original.

  • It's Thinking

  • came with my pc was awsome first ones great 2

  • Till this day i didn't find a game harder then this one maybe because i'm older now i won't find a game really hard but i did manage to finish it when i was 16 and i never touch it again. Maybe i'll give it a try again to see how good have become

  • The Sega Dreamcast was a amazing and revolutionary system for the time, here is a tribute it made to the dreamcast

    watch?v=CMuLpJ4_a7w

  • Played this game...but then I played Halo and the Rest is history :D

  • lol,i just finished this BiG LOL game today!it was great!

  • This game was so hard. Shadowman was another dark and creepy game for the dreamcast. both class games.

  • MDK 2 Kicked ass!!!! I made Toast!!! haha I miss the dreamcast. Shenmu rocked as well

  • I finished this on the PC back in the day when it came out. Running it on my voodoo3 3000 back in the day. Was a fun game, first one caused a bit of controversy if I remember right. Was a lot of fun and some great humour.

  • I can't say that interplay is a good company. But i can comment on the developer of MDK-- and thats "Shiny entertainment." They might not be known for popular MGS style games. And when it comes to graphics they are average. But the cool thing about Shiny entertainment is the president, Dave Perry. He just made me want to be a videogame programmer really bad. These are their games

    -Earthworm Jim 1&2

    -Wild 9 for PSX

-MDK 1&2 ( both are on PC)

    -Enter the matrix

    -The path of neo

  • dreamcast never got the rep it deserved i remember grandia 2 powerstone 2 favorites from dream cast

  • huh there was a sequel to MDK,wow never knew that, looks pretty good.

  • I remember playing this game on a demo.....I couldn't even beat that! Haha, but it was a fun game none-the-less =)

  • God, I remember this game. It's brutal.

  • Sadly i have not beaten this game. but do own it!!!

maybe i should hook it up to my tv.

  • Those were the days

  • I first playe MDK at school on the lab PC's. I was fairly impressed. But when I bought my first Dreamcast and this(MDK2) was included on it. I was blown away, by the graphics, gameplay even the control scheme (which was new to me) was awesome. And it had a nice bit of humor in it

  • The first game I every played was MDK that was for the playstation my dad had he was sorta a game wiz I would play and play and play play for hours this game was incrediblely hard for me.

  • Sega needs to make a new system...

  • They were bought out and turned into a software company. Sadly there not going to come out with another console any time soon.

  • Actually Sega is making another Hardware system. But it is a certain type of arcade system.

  • They are. it's called Ring Edge.

  • @shedisek Agreed, but with the constant failed consoles sega had in the past, It would probably crash for the same reasons the dreamcast did

  • @shedisek I think 3 systems is enough

  • dude i the games were remade it would be kinda sad because ur not respecting the true original game

  • What if a company like bungie got a hold of this and remade it? ZOMG! xD

  • that would be great! personally i don't like bungie a whole lot i prefer half-life over halo any day

so if Valve ever remade it....

or Ubisoft!! haha that would be soooo fun

  • Yes! Finally someone that agrees with me, I thought for sure that I was one of the few that perfered Half Life over Halo. You rock dude!

  • HELL YA!!! and I though I<-- was the only one in the world! lol do you play Half-Life DeathMatch?

  • well honestly i hven't had much time cause of college. infact I haven't even beat HL2 yet, loved to first one though.and i don't think i have found deathmatch.

  • it would suck

  • MDK2 was fire!

  • This presenter is doing an awesome job for a semi/pro gig.

  • What I liked most about this game was the control scheme. You used the face buttons to move, which I thought was cool at the time and they implemented it well.

  • lol i played MDK2 it kicked ass the scientist and his toast XD always made me lol the dog was beast i think he had 4 arms with guns if i am not mistaken and the cyborg reminded me of spawn XD

  • Kurt was a human that put on a power suit like megaman legends.

  • I'm playing this game currently on my dreamcast while most people now a daya are playling *insert shitty 360/Wii game*

  • I feel like playing on my old DC.. Ooooh, nice, I have MBK 2..

  • MBK2?

  • I meant MDK my bad

  • Hard??? Really??? If you've played Sly Cooper on PS2 you've got the gist of this game. The story is horrible and they threw in cheerful cartoony characters which made the game worse. Play the 1st MDK on the PC much darker, much better. I'd skip this abomination.

  • i used 2 have that on PC....very underrated but very awesme

  • I liked MDK 2 a lot, I loved the huge bosses and so on. Never completed it as I didnt like the scientist levels.

I should also mention that MDK was a PC title, not PSONE.

  • you are wrong my friend...it did come out on Psone

  • True, as a port. The original MDK was released on the PC then ported to PS.

  • Zzelda is better

  • Murder Death Kill, Thats what it was. I was never a fan.

  • I still have the demo disc which has this game on it.

  • MDK2 was awesome!!

  • man great review congratulations im a huge fan of dreamcast and the old sega, not the actually sega ( make me sick) really sega needs come back to the consoles bussines , now are lossing all the creativity and the games of sonic except sonic the hedgehog for (xbox360 and ps3) are trash i feel bad for sonic =( i miss the adventures for dc

  • MDK was also on the PC and so was MDK2.

MDK2 is also on the PS2, I know because I have it for my PS2 like I have MDK for my PS1.

  • hey guys im starting an online petition to bring back sega into the console buisness

if you want to bring back the sega dreamcast just send me a message with your username and a reason why you want sega back then when i have over 200 usernames ill email it to sega!

please help out you can start a petition to bring back dreamcast!

  • youre the stupidest person, although i want a new sega console, they wont do it. Due to the big reason they dont have enough money. your going to need more than 200 usernames, youll need more than 10 million usernames

  • it will never work dude saga is own by sony now

  • wtf sony dont own sega, its actually 25% owned by a company/developer called sammy

  • no, they made sega/sammy holdings, and they're fused. subsidiaries are sega and sammy sega makes games and sammy pachinko.

  • yeah your right=) but i'm pretty sure that sammy owned just under 25% untill they paid around $1.2billion to merge with sega in 2005 or 06?

  • i played this on pc

  • dreamcast 2 a dream come true

  • umm very good !!!

  • This would be an ideal downloadable title. It kicked ass on the DC back in the day.

  • ohh so thats wat this game is called "MDK 2" i always tryed to remeber wat was the name of this game called eversense i stop playin my dreamcast 7 years ago...this brings back good memorys when i was a kid.

  • MDK 2 is awesome, glad I still have my Dreamcast and copy of the game.

  • crazy 10 minutes ago i just found this randomly in my bedroom way back with my junk and this vid just randomly popped up. its crazy

  • i just bought a dreamcast on ebay with 6 games and this is one of them. I cant wait for it to get here!

  • who loved clayfighter? :P

  • i did it was awsome

especially when you mash buttons and all of a sudden you do this no stop combo then can never do it again

  • completed both parts of this game about 3 times atleast , may be hard at start but nothing imposible

  • i had this for pc dreamcast and ps2

  • Dreamcast, PS2 and PC version, motherfucker!

Of course I was a little noob at the time so never tried completing it.

  • I had mdk for my pc and ps2 ;D

  • i have this for pc

  • I started playing that game and it is so hard...even the first stage :|

  • Hmm, you must be on crack. Music game? ReZ? Jet Set Radio? Much better games, MDK was too linear and unintuitive.

  • dreamcast was the nuts shame they done nothing for the console

  • The only real PS2 game series is GOW, while Sega had Sonic and just about every fighting game series out there

  • What about JET GRIND RADIO?

  • The Dreamcast failed because a bunch of Japanese faggots got the PS2 because it was the cheapest "DVD player" because DVDs didnt catch on then.

Like, fucking wow. it's a gaming console..

And this "Emotion engine" shit, yeah we know the PS2 has that GOD DAMNIT. Dreamcast had good games, PS2 had good games, a better processor doesn't necessarily mean the competitor still can't make good games.

  • @themangodess the emotion engine is one of the fastest cpus for it's clock speed. It is insanly effecent

  • @themangodess actually the ps2 was technically inferior because of its video memory was half what dreamcast had so it real wouldn't have mattered how technologically superior the rest of the system was it was choked by its 4mb video memory. With the Dreamcast having 8mb video memory it was really hard for the ps2 hardware to handle free roaming 3d envioroments.

  • @Nightninja217 dude the ps2 has 32mb unified ram that can be used as both system ram and video ram and the developers were able to split it however they wanted. The dreamcast had 16mb system ram and 8mb video ram. The ps2 was superior in this area, and most others. But don't get me wrong, i love the dreamcast and had more fun on it that any other console.

  • Comment removed

  • @themangodess MDK2 Armageddon, the ps2 port, sucks balls compared to the dreamcast one

  • Dreamcast GO !! Very nice DC game ! Probably from the graphical part, the best i've ever seen on the DC.

  • while it did fail it has an afterlife like no other system has had.

  • i had this game on pc but i never bet it.

  • we want a dreamcast 2 fuck the built in dvd player

  • i have it on a demo disc. its a lot of fun.

  • omfg my friend had the demo to this game.

only game i've ever played that rivals halo 1 *IMO* so don't start freaking out.

  • woo, I have mdk2 for pc. dreamcast kicked butt

  • I still have MDK 2 for PC; brilliant game!

  • shenmue was wayyy befoore its time

  • This is also available on PC.

  • well i dont agree that any body ever loved the terrible clay fighter, but this is another solid review well done chris

  • mdk on computer was dope and mdk2 was great on dreamcast

  • MDK2 sucked ass. wtf is he saying!First MDK was masterpiece full of action . second was like abortion or something...

  • damn i cant find this game anywhere

  • amazon

  • I loved this game.

  • This was actually the game that convinced me that the Dreamcast was a better console than the PlayStation 2. I played MDK2: Armageddon for the PS2 and MDK2 for the DC. The DC version had less aliased models and crisper graphics. The DC also has more processing power, giving it a superior framerate as well.

  • it was

  • DC has half the graphic ability then the PS2 but is twice as fast then the PS2.

  • Yes, but the PS2s hardware was not being fully utilized at the time. Additionally, the PS2 has always had some noticeable aliasing problems on lower resolution displays. The Dreamcast had an active antialiasing program running on most, if not all of their software from launch to crash. Power is nothing if the developer can't work it properly. Just look at the difference between Dragoneer's Aria and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops on the PSP. The PS2 is much more difficult to program for.

  • DC doesn't have only half the graphic ability. They have the same!

Besides, the DC came out before the PS2, and... gameplay > graphics.

  • Oh god not again...

DC has better graphics; PS2 CANNOT do 480P.

  • Oh, it even has better graphics? I thought it was the same. Nice.

  • Both the DC and PS2 were 128 bit systems...the only thing the PS2 had a advantage in was the DVD format. The DVD carry way more data than the Dreamcast's GD-ROM...do more research man.

  • The number of bits really doesn't mean much then and still doesn't today. The real power came from processing speeds, RAM, etc. The Dreamcast and PS2 were completely different different hardware architectures so its hard to say one is more powerful or not. The PS2 had better processing power (the PS2 processor clocked in at 299MHz, and the Dreamcast was at 200MHz) However the Dreamcast was easier to program for, so you could get the most out of the system sooner than you could with the PS2.

  • That very true man, cant disagree with you on that, i forgot ps2 has a faster processor lol. Who cares, they are both awesome systems.

  • agreed I owned and loved both

  • I still have my dreamcast and play it all the time!! I have 44 games and growing!!

  • I have over 70 and growing!!!...although not all of them are originals since it's not that easy to find them even online these days...

  • sega dreamcast ha alot of fun great games and gameplay was just perfect i mis my dreamcast :(

  • i miss dreamcast

  • Dreamcast was my favorite console ever. MDK2 was probably one of my top 3 games for it. The game was just incredible, but like the comentator said, it was hard !!!

  • Thanks for this. Does anyone remember what MDK stood for? Murder, Death, Kill. Hehe

  • no it didnt it mas for the three characters MAX THE DOG... DR. HOOKINGS.....and KURK I THINK

  • Actualy it's a "Max,Kurt,Hawkins" Murther death kill is just a joke :) i borned whith this game in hands... of course first part! amazing game!

  • im in need of a dreamcast high speed DSL modem (not dial up) im willing to pay 35.00

  • I have alot of systems. And i've stood in my share of lines. But i will never forget when i stood in line for my dreamcast. People were so hyped not like ps3 were they just wanted to sell it to make profit.I still have it and play it alot but i have to admit i play my 360 more.I like halo3 what can i say sorry dreamcast i wanted you to rein supreme.

  • when was dreamcast released?

  • 1998(jap)-1999(usa)

  • i miss dreamcast with a passion. consoles today seem to focus more on franchises and features then games that actually have originality. Dreamcast was AHEAD of its time with its incredibly original games like mdk and sonic adventure(today sonic sucks)never again will there be a console like this. we miss u dreamcast:(

  • im Dreamcast owner!

    don't sale for anyone :P

  • how the times changes look the graphics from dreamcast to ps3 or xbox 360 but we join that kind of graphics

  • i miss my dreamcast when i first got my dreamcast...it came with with a demo disk and it had this game...it was awseome...and then i bought this game from my cuzin but the ps2 version of mdk 2 tho and i agree with u its hard i miss my dr

  • LOL I didn't even know this was awesome. I'm getting this game, i wanna play it ^^

  • another version came out on ps2 later

  • ya but who cares about PS2, Dreamcast was cooler.

  • Great game, btw when you reach Zizzi/y Balooba (Last Boss) he start talking: "Max, Doctor, Kurt! I c..." when I've heard this it gives idea that MDK isn't "murder death kill" but "Max Doctor Kurt" it looks like perfect theory but after few second I've figured out that can't be true. And here's question for you MDK series fans: can you figure out why? Answer has 4 hands.

  • yes i remember this game, Loved it. I wish i had not sold my dreamcast. Yeah it was hard. Took me awhile to beat it.

  • How come the host didn't mention that the game was originally made by BioWare?

Yes, the guys who made KOTOR and Mass Effect.

  • Yes that's true. In fact, this version was also developed by bioware but published by interplay

  • this makes me want to play it again...hard though...clay fighter!

  • MDK was originally a PC game.

  • Totally wrong dude....its was first a psOne release then they made it for the PC and this masterpiece (MDK2) was for Dreamcast only !!! So SEGA come back and make a really cool console (PS3 and WII suck like hell) !!!!

  • Im with you one of best ,hardest game ever
