I love how when she gets attacked again and Mr. Neck is walking past and he actually sounds CONCERNED about her when he asks, "What happened? Melinda?" The rest of the movie he acts like he hates her, but he really does care about her, I guess. :) It's good to see that side of him.

From 2:20 - 4:35 is definitely the most intense and powerful moment in the movie. Every time I watch it, I replay this moment over and over again. I like that the jerk-wad teacher finally speaks to her (although briefly) in a concerned tone. I haven't read the book so I'm sure the movie isn't exactly how it was in the original text, but for the movie itself - they did an awesome job, Kristen Stewart is an awesome actress.

I enjoy imagining what Mr. Neck might've done to Andy, after the girls told him what he'd done to Melinda, that he could've raped her if they hadn't appeared: I imagine that he might've hauled him to the principal's office by his ears or gripped him harder than he'd done to Melinda.
I thought the same thing when I saw this. I like that they faded out her telling her mom the story...but I would have loved to see the mother's reaction..the shock, the hurt, the sadness..just seeing tears in her eyes and her covering her month with her hands. then after melinda is done telling her story..the mother just breaks down and hugs her while crying.
I think they should show this movie in the schools, especially high school, it's important and I think it could really get through to the teens today.
yes it is. in most highschools you have to read this book for engish i think. i think she did a wonderful job and i think that i see more of her a an actress now then i did before, one of her best preformences and i hope that she does more like this and less like Twilight. Good Job Kristen

In "Twisted," the author wrote that Melinda tried to prosecute Andy in court, but that he wasn't punished. My guess is that they had to let him go because Melinda didn't go to the hospital and have a rape exam immediately after she was raped.

BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!! It was sad, intense, and the ending made me smile when the girls field hockey team was ready to beat him up. I love this movie and I am defantly going to read the book. :))))

This was brilliant. Ive havent seen any of Kristen Stewart's films other than twilight and new moon and this is soooo different. Anyone who says she cant act needs to see this - its amazing!

I enjoy imagining what Mr. Neck might've done to Andy, after the girls told him what he'd done to Melinda, that he could've raped her if they hadn't appeared: I imagine that he might've hauled him to the principal's office by his ears or gripped him harder than he'd done to Melinda.

I still think the ending couldve been a lil bit better. I dont get why they didnt just show what she was saying to her mom about what happened.

I would have liked that too, but she would be saying what we already know so there wouldn't be a point in it unless they gave her mom's reaction.

I thought the same thing when I saw this. I like that they faded out her telling her mom the story...but I would have loved to see the mother's reaction..the shock, the hurt, the sadness..just seeing tears in her eyes and her covering her month with her hands. then after melinda is done telling her story..the mother just breaks down and hugs her while crying.

yes it is. in most highschools you have to read this book for engish i think. i think she did a wonderful job and i think that i see more of her a an actress now then i did before, one of her best preformences and i hope that she does more like this and less like Twilight. Good Job Kristen

Yes indeed, even though if some pupils got scared of the book, it is something which is a very common fact today.. And after all how would we feel after being raped? This movie has definately influenced me a lot..

I bet Andy raped her and treated the girls the way he did because he was raped, himself: The girl asked him why he was the way he was, "What the hell is wrong with you?...Answer me!" and he didn't answer; He was silent, exactly like Melinda was.
