  • Apophysis only for PC>

  • I Do Something Similar But I Use Fractron 9000 And Photo Elements To Create Fractal Art Compositions That Aren't Abstract But Look Like Painted Scenes Of World, Fantasy Art, Dreamscapes And Epic Creations

  • Too bad Apophysis is only for Windows :\

  • @AnaestheticGas You Can Use An Apophysis Clone For The Mac Called ApoMac - It's Available At DeviantArt Through The Member hebejebelus. It Works Under The Leopard OS.

  • Do you NEED to have Photoshop to use this program?

  • Liked and subscribed. Thank you so much.

  • dude... so nice !!! the one you where doing with shapes from 3d max... oh !! nice

  • when i export it its too grainy.also can i export it with no bg color?? so i can make photoshop brushes? thanks a lot

  • @FlamedIdea I haven't used Apophysis in years, but I remember the quality being tied to a setting like "samples" or "jitter" -- the higher the setting, the better the quality. As for the lack of background, I think that's determined by the format you save in. I have another tutorial called "Apophysis Tutorial, Saving and Rendering Your Flames" which might help you in these matters.

  • @FlamedIdea You can export it with no bg just go to options and there should be a drop down menu asking if you want png transparency enabled or not :)

  • Thanks for taking the time to make a tutorial that is a tutorial on using fractals to make artistic pieces. Great job!

  • @Vedant002 on PC you press Alt+Backspace, or Ctrl + Backspace, it's the same as doing edit >> fill, with foreground and background colors.

  • Thanks for sharing. Nicely spoken and informative. xx

I have a question, when I save the flames and want to use them in Photoshop for making something like you did, do I need to cut the background? Because it kinda ruins the flame it self (cuts a bit of it)

  • Comment removed

  • do they make it for mac?

  • It will not let me save when i'm done editing. Why is that?

  • Hi , I just downloaded apophysis for use with photoshop but all my randomly generated fractals look really grainy and low res. What can I do to improve the detail and quality ?

    Thanks

  • I'm pretty sure it's in the settings of the export. Turn up the samples, or quality. I'll have to look closer later, as I don't remember off the top of my head.

If it comes down to it, I may do a tutorial later on export settings.

  • In adjustments you can turn the gamma down, and when you go to export flame and choose the file you want it will ask you size and quality. Normally in PS even if its grainy jus duplicate the layer and set it to soft light or something that usually fixes it.

  • @garystorey fucking put the rendering on 10,15,50, or 100 but be warned they take long to load.

  • I can't save em? how that ?

  • wow this helped me a bazillion! Thanks SO much!
