@ckalaani1 That is what made it a great tackle Lewis didn't see him, Brown caused the fumble changed game. Not bad for 5'9" sub 200 lb dude on a 240 lb running back.
the result of what happened is what it is but dont confused, this was a 1 time thing how many tackles did he have on jamal lewis the entire game? straight up head to head without any pussy going for the knee tackles & jamal would put this kid in the hospital
Love this vid Tennessee keeps falling and they get desperate bring in Lane Kiffin and look what hes doing calling out SEC coaches wow good for you Tennessee old rocky top
And yet he caused the fumble.. who is the bitch now? Lewis for fumbling on an tackle that wasn't straight up... Ralph Brown and Nebraska owned this day.
dude your getting away from the point im just saying that isnt really a tackle. im not saying that it wasnt a good play. but that was not a good lookin tackle. just because it makes a big pop doesnt make it a good(im not talking about youstatman)play.
Dude if it wasn't a tackle then then maybe it wasn't a fumble either and then maybe Tennessee didn't get their ass whipped.
I'm sure the statisticians gave Brown credit for the tackle and the force fumble. Brown came from no where to pop Lewis and he didn't give Lewis a chance to react it was a great play no matter how you look at it. Who cares if Lewis is the better NFL player, Brown won this battle hands down.
Even Terry Donahue a great coach said Brown made a great tackle I'm sure he is more qualified than you.. who cares if you think if it is a tackle or not Brown brought Lewis to the ground by whatever means necessary and separated Lewis from the Ball. Great job Ralph!!
Did he bring down Lewis? Did he separate the ball from the ball carrier? Did his team recover the football? The game was tied at this point in the game, and Tennessee was driving it changed the course of the game. No where did I say Ralph Brown was a better pro than Jamal Lewis, just on this play on this day Ralph got the better of Jamal and he deserves credit for that.
Yes, very ironic. Brown was on this team with Daylon McCutcheon I think too. He was really pretty sad in Cleveland, although he did have his moments. I remember a few nice tackles. But he got lit up in coverage. Actually he played well against the Browns last season, the time we played... who i don't remember. But I would rather have J Lew and bowl of syrup instead of Ralph Brown.
The way I described this as "Crushing" this was a very pivotal point of the game Tennessee was driving for the lead early in the game and Brown made a great tackle causing a fumble. IMO it was a crushing tackle because it did crush the hopes of the Tennessee Volunteers
Nebraska totally dominated Tennessee physically both times they played them. It wasn't even fair or close. Don't you remember all Temnnessee players having to have their sorry asses drug off the field?
r u gay? of course weight matters dumb shit thats y 300 pound linemen protect the QB not little runningbacks or little QBs wtf u r completely retarded
lol ya but still hes a DB apretty much any DB would have to try and cut Jamals Legs to tackle him lol if they wents straight on Lewis would knock him up lol but ya jamal lewis one of the Greatest RB's alive
This is not a hit. He dived/lunged at his legs. If lewis would have had the chance to lower his shoulder this would not have been a contest and the video would say "Nebraska player gets JACKED UP" instead.
you are a bonehead, if if if if , the fact of the matter is Brown who was outweighed by 55 pounds shred the block made the hit at the precise time where Lewis couldn't react and caused the bone jarring hit/fumble.
Not exactly what most people define as a "CRUSHING TACKLE." He went at Jamal's legs just like everyone in the NFL does. Jamal is too big for them. That was a glancing blow that knocked the ball out as Jamal tripped over the Nebraska player.

dont get me wrong but i dont really consider that as a tackle. i think of that as going for the lower body

Dumbass a proper tackle starts with the lower body...

Browns had both Ralph Brown and Jamal Lewis; I'd rather have Lewis. Much rather.

For NFL players I agree, Ralph Brown has been a bust but on this particular play Ralph got the better of Jamal.

I think R Brown is still in the NFL after 10 years, that is pretty good.

Ralph Brown, are you sure that wasn't Tiger Woods? looks like him, probably has better coverage skills than Ralph Brown too.

that was not at all a crushing tackle, he simply cut his legs out from under him

he never really saw it that is why he fumbled

I agree that Ralph Brown has not had a great NFL career, but he was a great player in college.

Too bad Ralph Brown sucks in the NFL. He was TERRIBLE with the Browns.

This tackle isn't quite as "crushing" as I hoped. Very solid tackle on a bigger back, but it's not crushing. And I'm a Husker fan.

Okay, with that explanation then I'll agree, but the tackle alone was not aaaall that impressive.

Tripped? Glancing blow?? Brown plowed his shoulder right into Lewis's waist. N not a crushing "tackle" but still one hell of a hit.
