Congrats! This video has been awarded the "Pies Equals Comedy" Channel's Blue Ribbon of Excellence for representing and upholding the very best of the slapstick humor tradition. Excellent job!
Please, Sam Raimi, or Bruce Campbell... these shorts need to be restored and released on a DVD, I for one would be at the top of the line waiting for my copy!
Thanks for posting that!! I've always wanted to view it but could not figure a way to find it. This is great. Shows some of the great reverse filming Sam Raimi is famous for. I think the old gentleman in the blue leisure suit sitting in a lawn chair during the start of the pie throwing was Bruce's dad, Charlie/Chuck Campbell. This is a true treasure with all those guys in it!
anyone wanna help me out? i wanna know where ted raimi is in this, he must have been much younger, i can't recognize him, if you know, then just tell me the minute and second he shows up.
Josh Becker directed this probably in 1980. It was his first 16mm film, his others had been 8mm. Bruce Campbell is an old friend of his and acts in this. Josh and Bruce have worked on such feature films as Thou Shall Not Kill...Except and Running Time.
The title is a parody of the Pearl Harbor movie "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (the lawnmower was made in Japan)
Hey, it's Shelly at 3:02!

The old man who gets a pie in his face is Charles "Chook" Campbell, our hero Bruce's late dad.

i think he's the guy that gwt knocked off the ladder while painting and the guy that gets knocked on his feet while fishing.

Ted is the guy on the ladder painting the bricks. Josh appears briefly chugging on some booze in the background of the shoeshine scene.

Lots of that famous "Reverse Acting" in this one, and their love of the Stooges. Thanks for the post!

I would suggest that you include in the description that this features Bruce Campbell, it'll get more views. Thanks for putting this short up.
