When you're up there you'll be so amazed by the magic of flying that your guts will not simply have time to react to the fact that you are indeed high, the tall trees and buildings, the mountains, lakes and rivers will all seem to be a giant playground for you to play. 15meters above the ground is high, 10000ft above is magic :) There's no fear there...

Most any other profession that requires critical thinking can be obtained with just hard work, regardless if you have a handicap or a learning disability. Fighter pilots are one of those few exceptions.

Let me explain: Height, too tall or too short is NOT a physical problem, it's a problem that someone designs fighters cockpit dome and pedals position for AVERAGE height people. Would I have a chance at the airforce?
@viscon2011 Brother I'm so sorry. The stats look great, and I think the Air Force/Navy/Army has worked around the diabetes problems with their servicemen as well as HBP, but your too old. I think 27 is the max age of joining the Air Force, and that is just enlisted. The Academies won't take you if your older than 23. I'm so sorry. Look into civilian piloting. Its part of training, and the United States has to have a certain number of fighter aircraft patrolling our airspace 24/7. I always wanted to be a jet fighter pilot but when i was in high school someone told me that i can't be a pilot because of my height.
I'm 64 inches (standing) and 33 in (sitting height)
Back then we don't have access to the internet. Just today i found out that my height is very ideal to fly a fighter jet and i think its to late now for me to enter the flight school since I'm now 32 years old.

I want to join the special forces, it suits me more - march off with 100lb on the back, making push ups untill your arms will broke. Nothing can keep me away, I join them next year, and I have trained for it for 4 years (im not the guy who only can do the tests to the minimum, I will set records!) Do you want this job or not? The most important thing is that you have to believe in yourself.

@MrUsaf177 F.O.D. stands for Foreign Object Damage or debris. Before flight ops begin, flightline troops walk the taxiways and runways to look for any and all objects that could be sucked up and injested by an aircraft's engine(s). The same goes for tools. You better have all your tools accounted for after your shift is done. That's called a CTK. Composite tool kit. If you're missing one little allen wrench, the entire wing of aircraft is grounded, and you're in a lot of trouble.

Requirements Are:
Perfect Health
4 Years English + Advanced Math & Physics courses
between ages 17 - 23
High GPA SAT scores
Leadership roles in Extracurricular activities
Apply in Junior year to give impression of promptness
Recommendation from a Congressman based on merit (probably requires a wealthy family with affluent connections to political figures)

I always wanted to be a jet fighter pilot but when i was in high school someone told me that i can't be a pilot because of my height.
I'm 64 inches (standing) and 33 in (sitting height)
Back then we don't have access to the internet. Just today i found out that my height is very ideal to fly a fighter jet and i think its to late now for me to enter the flight school since I'm now 32 years old.
Now I'm always be a frustrated pilot ...

@9stevo2 if your not willing to take the risk of flying such jets you dont really want to fly them. I want to join the special forces, it suits me more - march off with 100lb on the back, making push ups untill your arms will broke. Nothing can keep me away, I join them next year, and I have trained for it for 4 years (im not the guy who only can do the tests to the minimum, I will set records!) Do you want this job or not? The most important thing is that you have to believe in yourself.

@9stevo2 you have to say whether you want it or not. If not, stop thinking about it and move on. If your deepest wish is to become a fighter pilot (best job in the world, so is the special forces) you must have to go for it. I dont know your age, niether your grades in school but if you want this job you can get it. Train for it, trust yourself, dont care about others opinion or if your mother say ''dont you want to become a docter instead?'', do that - and you will make it. Good luck. . .

@MrUsaf177 F.O.D. stands for Foreign Object Damage or debris. Before flight ops begin, flightline troops walk the taxiways and runways to look for any and all objects that could be sucked up and injested by an aircraft's engine(s). The same goes for tools. You better have all your tools accounted for after your shift is done. That's called a CTK. Composite tool kit. If you're missing one little allen wrench, the entire wing of aircraft is grounded, and you're in a lot of trouble.
