They tell you that the people who provide goods and services will not have to pay PST, so they in turn will save money and pass that savings on to you, the consumer. the HST REPLACES the PST, and the alleged reduction to consumers, so you in effect are paying the same amount as before. LOL. I have some oceanfront property in Kelowna for those who believe this bullshit.

HST doest stimulates economy. If an economy wants to move ahead from a recession first thing is price must be reduced along with tax so people will spend more and get things going.

HST main proposal is that it can reduce production expenses of businesses (which govt claim the expenses are passed down to consumers).

HST gives business tax refund and lower their production costs of giving business back portion of their money for production materials.

But business are profit maximixers, their cost going down doesnt equal good prices will go down. In fact business will keep the prices the same as now or increase them.

HST benefits manufactueres and production businesses (mainly for Canadian exports), but not retail and consumers.

the govt claims the reduction in expenses will help aid the Canadian exports earn more moving the economy. This is false. Canadian economy is tied to the US economy.

Currently US economy demanded to limit imports and buy domesticated goods so US economy itself can recover.

HST is a tax grab by the federal govt because Harper personally wasted over 65 billion dollars in adminstrative expenses.

Harper govt wasted money because of constant increase in salary for his own people. Ever since the proposal of HST, i have not seen any price reduction (i live in BC). In fact the prices constantly increases over here.

HST mainly benefits Toronto, Ontario because all the large manufactueres are there. No where else in Canada it benefits. Thats why no other provinces are willing to accept HST except for moronic BC govt and Ontario.

Hansen couldn't see a recession coming if his life depended on it. It will only benefit Campbell's corporate fat cat cronies. Cut MLA and government department managers salaries by 14% before you tax the little guy. I've just had my wages cut by 20% in order to keep my job. Now I'll probably lose it because of the HST.
