  • this list succccckkkkkks ballls!!!!!

  • hay una cancion que va en un estilo twist pero no se como se llama y no esta aqui la que he escuchado

  • three words " Creedence Clearwater Revival "

  • A good top 20, a few songs i haven`t heard for a very long time.

  • I have to say that alot of these songs are in my top 20 as well. Great taste!

  • Imagine is the most memorable of all time by John Lennon my favorite since I was a little girl

  • Don't know who compiled this list, but mine would be very different. Very different indeed.

  • @leijaray Yeah- I can come up w/ 10000 more, but there are some good ones here-- along w/ bad!

  • Okay Imagine should obviously be number one. It's one of the best songs of all time. By the way I would suggest adding Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bee Gees, early Michael Jackson, etc.

  • @RockMstr13 AGREE

  • no part two?

  • All things must pass?

  • a bit niche but hey, that's OK! it is a personal flavour and honestly not too bad! being from 64, I picked a few I forgot. By the way for the people who type before they think, even it is just internet, you still hurt people's feelings! please keep that in mind, 'Merry Xmas'

  • Common Not Imagine

  • I don't get all the hate. This is a pretty good list so far

  • the compiler should be a retarded dribbling in the chest....never heard so much shit....

  • Your taste in music sucks...ARE YOU ON SOMETHING?

  • Oh, come guys. Ya'll don't agree that My Sharona should be in the top best? xD

    <3

    I also love Imagine.

  • I got laid to some of these songs and I'm 32.

  • Top 20, must've been on another Planet to think these are the Top 20 songs of the 70's you gotta be a joke! Most of these are not!

  • Imagine 1971 ?? :-)

  • i turn it on and the saddest song from that 70s show

  • I was in my twenties in the seventies. I like this list.

  • train in vain maybe the greatest pop song ever

  • yuck.....and there are ten not twenty.....

  • @TheZeplinfan This is Part 1...

  • shit! I threw up!

  • i don't remember most of these. my tastes must have been more mainstream.

  • how much weed would one have to smoke for this list to be good?

  • @TheLeftylegend14 NONE!!

  • this isnt the good music of the 70's that I remember. Except American Woman and John Lennon. Try again please.

  • HOW THE FUCK IS IMAGINE 13?!?!? THATS THE BEST SONG PERIOD .,

  • The great 70,s where the world was alot slower

  • In the 70s I was 11 - 20. How in the world did I miss half of these? What the hey?

  • imagine is N1 of all times.

  • COOL LIST Wish it were the 7o's again. what a great time to be aalive

  • I think we all just been punked!!!

  • This uploader must be from India. This is NOT 70s music! Really poor choice to represent the 70s.

  • What a load of crap - a list made by some dweeb that never lived in the 70's no doubt.

  • @badgergjr you sir are embarassing and and act like a teen

  • American Woman & Whole lotta Love - who copied who?

  • imagine should be number 1!

  • John Lennons Imagine ofcourese was the best

  • What a load of tosh!

  • only a few i liked the rest was just garbage

  • What were you smokin when you made this? Some are great and then there's the

    OTHERS, uuuuhhhhhgggg!

  • This could most definitely be a top 20 songs of the UK and Canada list.

  • @qewr4231 America? USA? This list is not a top 20 for the USA.

  • RAMONES!!

  • I'd just like to say that 99% of the people leaving comments for this video are fucking retards. I hate people who, full of douchey, righteous indignation, jump onto the comments board of people's personal "greatest" lists to say things like, "dude this list sucks no way is this te greatest your are a fucking dumbass because you have crap taste well whatever dude lol." Fucking IDIOTS.

  • belle liste de merde sans nom ! "imagine" en 13 alors que c'est presque la chanson du siècle !!

  • this guy is a moron.

  • I know each and every one of these songs. It's an eclectic list and I'd put all of these songs on and give each one another listen. John Lennon's " Imagine " is my favorite because of his kindness and tolerance. Thanks

  • the seventies covers a decade not just from 77 with the odd exeption

  • You got to be kidding

  • good to remember some of these groups, may have picked some different songs though

  • This is the songs we had to listen to on the radio waiting for the real 70s Greatest to come on !

  • Why don't you all take into consideration that the person who uploaded this did so with their own feelings in mind? If you would like to do better, then I invite you to do so and quit bitching! For the love, just shut up and enjoy the music!

  • What a buncha shit, I'll be back to hit thumbs down again for ya tho.

  • @rykera69 wtf are you talking about? All over Canada diff languages are spoken. Here in BC I rarely hear Spanish..More people here speak Chinese. They don't call it hongcouver for nothing.

  • BOOOOOOOOO. Not on anybodies hit list that I know of.

  • Dude...this is crap.

  • besides n20,19,and 17 it's a pretty ok list i wouldve made the cars number one but its a matter of taste but it was all good ^_^

  • Wow. Guys, the description says, "my opinion on the Top 20 Greatest...." If you don't agree with him/her then put up you're own video. You obviously have an idea of what, in your minds, should be on this list; otherwise you wouldn't complain. Make your own vids full of your fav songs and let others do the same. :)

  • this list is not accurate at all

  • Top 20 one hit wonders..? No wouldnt work for that either. Aside from showing us you can use google what was this list to prove..?

  • Just Fuck to your mind with this bulshit list ass hole

  • No way this is not the top 20 of the 70's.

  • The 124 haters have no taste in music. The 70's has some great artists. What the heck is wrong with you? These were people who used actual instruments and voices. They didn't use machines to hide that they can't sing. They put their heart into their songs. Fun Fun Fun videos

  • No wonder YouTube hasn't blocked you, this sux, you musta been born yesterday :(

  • Good bands names, but songs...... far far far away to be classified as best of something.

  • Crapppppppppppp wow....weird taste for sure.... where's ABBA?

  • The 60s were brilliant and music peaked as we got into the 70's.. I think that up to 1976 was ok then it took a bit of a dive, until the 80's and then it all kicked of with the disco scene.........and then later in the 80's all the bands . Don't get me wrong, as a 26 year old in 1976 I did the punk thing as well, but it's not what you would call brilliant songs... certainly not songs that I would listen to today... and rember my youth

  • Old good memories back after a long time. Nice songs, but therer were musc better songs from the 1970's.

  • geez ppl,i liked it.even though these songs weren't as poplular they're just as good...plus its got John Lennon:Dwoo

  • Not the top twenty by a long shot, but good stuff! I am a Cars fan but like the other picks as well.

  • almost everything on this list is shit

The only good song is imagine

  • @mrpag0 Nazareth and Cars are great bands.

NAZARETH could play hard rock and blues with authority as well as 50s style ballads. The beatles could never play with the power and bluesy hardness of NAZARETH on their best days.

You are probably a chick who doesn't like hard rock or punk music. If you want to call something shit, go to a 90s music video or todays music and post shit on those videos.

I was never into punk and some of it was shit.

  • You got to be kidding. Trash!

  • Led Zeppelin?

  • at 0:40, isn't the guy on the left looks like Mr. Big or what's his name from Sex and the City?

  • @kobi005 He actually does look a bit like Chris Noth in that photo (weird because David Byrne of 'The Talking Heads' and Chris Noth (Mr. Big) do not look at all alike.)

  • John Lennon should be 1st ! :)

  • Cool Video! :)

  • wow really?

  • wheres the disco... OH COME ON!

  • Not exactly the ones I woulda picked, but Thirteen and Imagine would be on my list if I ever made one!

  • No.

  • my old teacher use to call me my sharona and i only heard it on full house (hehe) til now and my friend who was in the class with me still calls me that since my name is like sharona haha

  • This is garbage...

  • I watched a top 30 list of 70's songs and they were all pop hits, I did not agree with most of those selections either, it does not matter what Genre you choose, just let your opinions fly. This is fine with me, I know most of these songs and at least like 50% of them.

  • I saw 2 good songs on this whole list. One was Nazareth-Hair of the dog.The other was American woman from The Guess Who.ALL the other i could take or leave them, but i'll mostly LEAVE THEM!

  • MAAAAAINSTREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM :D

  • Interesting, though I don't agree with 75% of your choices.

But any list that includes the Guess Who's, American Woman is an okay list by me.

  • Okay Imagine is def top 3 no doubt....

  • love #20

  • All these other people are nutso, pretty much right on. All though I would put Big Star at number 10 or higher!

  • All these other people are nutso, pretty much right on. All though I would put Big Star at number 10 or higher!

  • Don't hear anyone who can sing better than Ian Gillan, Deep Purple in early 70s!

  • @Lil1943 Robert Plant

  • When I hear songs I've never heard before in the Top songs of the 70's that is a bad sign. This is probably the worst list ever

  • Comment removed

  • What a crappy list! Lots of punk and new wave garbage. The 70's were so much better than that!

  • @oporuy i agree with you, it's all crapp

  • @zsenveertigjaar You are probably into Culture club or Wham. This is music for real men. You're most likely a wuss, of course your going to think it's crap. Perhaps you're a woman, that would at least make sense of your comment.

  • @oporuy your calling John Lennon crap

  • @oporuy

exactly. i dont know where he got his information.

  • @oporuy well at least i prefer to listen to something new other than about 30 songs that people are repeating over and over...

  • @oporuy idiot

  • @oporuy Implying that punk is garbage.

  • this should be renamed '20 songs from the 70's. some of them are great'

  • Where is Mountain, Ted Nugent, Mahogany Rush, Rare Earth, Chicago, West Bruce and Laing, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and a number of others I could name? So many great guitarist and early bands always omitted from these type of videos and list!

  • Comment removed

  • Huh! I don't remember the 70's music being so bad. But then I don't remember much of the 70's at all.

  • Unusual choices. Remind me of what you'd hear on college stations, rather than commercial rock radio. Thanks for sharing your very personal journey.

  • You have no idea what the 70's were about, these songs suck

  • @OtisVision Did you see where he wrote his opinion? My list would look very different as would yours, but at least appreciate anothers choices.

  • suks

  • wow what a bad list-these are some of the worst ones, except " Imagine "

  • I would like to hear the whole songs you think that is possible

  • Imagine should be number one. No doubt.

  • @boricuaisabella "Imagine" is the best song ever, along with "God" and "Nutopian International Anthem"

  • Listen people, you don't have to delve too deeply into this list acdclover's made up. Everyone has different opinions on what music is their favourite and what's not, and personally I found a lot of these songs quite good. Just relax and enjoy the music.

  • @Aussiegirl265 OK, I'm with you, This is clearly a particular list and probably they're not the BEST songs according to popular tastes but it is interesting precisely because that, it takes a different approach.

    Cheers from Spain

  • @h34th3n greetings from western canada, the one place in canada were some people speak spanish instead of french : /

  • At 1:34 whats with the guys pants on the right?

  • @sk8terman72 He is Benjamin Orr, The Cars bass player.

  • Imagine is only 13???? I'm sorry, I can't possibly give this thumbs up!

  • i like how the list isnt generic, tired of these lists always being the same songs

  • This was such a classic that even my dad loves it

  • Not even close, Fail

  • now were talkin

  • these songs arent even good

  • Dam them songs sucked, Were you on acid when you came up with this list.

  • psycho killer? did i live in a different 70's? lol

  • I can think of a few better songs that weren't on your list, but nice overall. Nice to see the cars on a list. They were definately one of the best bands on the 80's too.

Gawd I am so fucking tired of hearing that fucking Nazareth song ...I could slit my fucking wrists, hear it every fucking day on the damn radio. "now you're messing with a bucket of shit" argh!!!! Couldn't you have selected something that was truly great but not so overplayed and BORING!

  • you put bands in that had one hit? And NO AEROSMITH??? Dude you should be horse whipped. What about The Who? "Best" bands of the 70s and no Who? What planet were you on? At least you had American Woman in there.

  • I disagree with your list !!!!!!

  • I grew up in the 60s and 70s and these would not come close to the best of the 70s on my list. I guess the problem is that there were thousands of great hits so everyone's list would be different. Mine would include eagles, ccr, dubie broths, heart, Ted N., Bee Gees, bto, Lynard S, Temptations, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, MJ, Osmonds, Steve Miller, Simon and Gar etc.

  • i dont know any of these bands

  • BIG

  • a psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?! PEZZ, the earlier Billy Talent, quotes this in their song M&M! I wouldn't have ever thought that :D:D pure random that I found this. Awesome.

  • What CRAP

  • @MrSteveUtah why you watching it

  • my sharona is my alltime favourite!! :D great vid man!

  • The Cars FTW!

  • Imagine the number 13????

    You are stupid

  • omg this sound sucks!
