Not a sport? There are more factors in this sport than you realize: lane conditions, nerves, weather, how to play from pair to pair, etc. You are only seeing the finals for the tournament. Try to understand what these players go through: a week of grinding out each and every game over a week which in most cases has each bowler bowling at least 24 games just to make the cut for the tournament. Every shot must be precise and the slightest error can be all the difference between a win and a loss.

Bowling isn't a sport... Did you know in the basic 4 step approach you use over a 130 muscles. And to bowl well you can't miss by 1 board. Other sports you have more forgiveness if your not perfect. So you have to use over 130 muscles and have them do the same exact thing every time.

That having been said, I love bowling and have been bowling in leagues and tourneys since I was 6. I'm 34 now. I almost witnessed a 300 today. I was at my High school Regionals and a girl from my school had 11 in a row. her final shot came in too high and left the 3-10 split... I was like FUUUUUUUUCK that sucks. so she got a 298, she also won 1st in regionals.

Relating to the video, he didn't blow it, just got a shiz break and pin action. Blowing a 300 game is what I did in my tenth frame first shot, throwing too far from my mark, coming brooklyn, leaving a nice little 9 pin.

ignoring the troll that posted the video, and responding to some of the commenters: i think we all agree that it was a pretty damn good shot, but for a light shot this is about as perfect as you can throw the ball. it's not even a bad entry angle. watch the 5 pin, it goes straight at the 7, with plenty of energy. but the ball was so well hit that the head pin smashes off the wall like a rocket and smacks down the 5 before it can do its damage. it's definitely ashame.
