Aqcua Di Gio: overpriced, overrated and annoyingly ubiquitous...

Guys, if you are sitting here considering getting this PLEASE don't. $60 for a 1.7OZ is ridiculous. This stuff is very common- so unless you live in a rural area don't go for this. Instead, you should go for Versace Pour Homme or Chanel Allure Homme Sport. They are both higher quality scents that aren't as common and the ladies like them more!

The fragrance is great, but very common- good for casual wear and seeing friends, but not good for dates...in a heavily populated city people are cultured and know about it all too well- everyone's brother, dad, ex-boyfriend seem to have it. Still a good fragrance though, but shouldn't be the only one in your collection...plenty of other goodies out there

@SirianKings I think AdG gets a bad rap like Coolwater. If you actually smell the frag without any knowledge of it being UBER-ubiquitous and popular as far as frags go then MOST people will find it quite pleasant. I don't think it's generic at all really--- recognizable... but not generic. Coca-cola is VERY common, but not generic. "Cola" itself has many generic brands--- gereric: i.e. "of the genre".

My take is just be uber choosy if you wear colognes as to where and around who you wear them.

Wow this was actually the first cologne that i ever owned back in the late 90's. It smells really good but as you mentioned it is very common, which is why i dont wear it anymore. You should smell Unbound for Men by Halston. Bargain bin frag but smells JUST like ADG but alot cheaper, lasts longer, and better sillage. Definately check it out

Just ordered a 3.4 of Unbound for $30 as apposed to getting ADG for $65+! I also got a ADG clone called Aqua H2o from an AJ Wright and it smells like ADG and Cool Water mixed together. It was $4.00 so I don't think I did any harm!

eau sauvage was made over forty years ago and shits all over a.d.g. try "eau de rochas". stick with the french and you cant go wrong... "aquaman" is another rochas citrus/herbal mix that outshines armani.
