  • Nice video. Makes a change to actually see a video of thunder and lightning and not one of these stupid videos of pictures of lightning with pethetically dramatic music put to it with the title 'Awesome thunderstorm video- must see!!!'. Mind you, it was done by a Brit like me and we know how to make video's that are real and not pretend ones because you dont like to admit your scared of thunder! lol

  • I heard lighting can turn sand into glass awesome vid

  • the USA has way better lightning but this was equal or even better than ours!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is an awesome video haha we hada storm recently in Australia and we had 3 massive thunder claps It was awesome!

  • @silverthearab It is awesome. Feel like I am there.

  • the best way to shelter from lightening is to lean on the tallest metal pole in a wide open space.

  • I remember that, Autumn 2006 was awesome for storms!..Was that when you got this footage? Huge opportunity for lightning shots; the lightning was constant, it was amazing! I got some pretty good shots just standing in my drive :/

  • Nice!!

  • ITS LIEK THIS HERE I LIVE NOW !

  • I remember that storm! Wasn't it the day of Craig Fleming's testimonial against Newcastle?

I was stuck by the car park at the back of Anglia Sqaure :S

I've never seen lightening or rain like it; it was simply, epic.

  • Every winter in the British ilses hundereds of thunderstorms come in form the Atlanitc,

maybe feeble in power compared to the supercells in the U.S.,but many small ones

can be as bad as one big thunderstorm

  • i pray to the thunder beings, they like that, calms them down.

  • i have seen that on the north sea island amrum

  • about 5 mins ago we had thunder lasted for like 1 - 2 mins only 2 strikes too

  • I livevin Northern Ireland and I hav never seen lightning like that. If it was is england, it would hav blown over to where I live. Also gd video... :I

  • Yep it was in England. Norwich in Norfolk to be exact!

  • ENGLAND? You hardly get any lightning there, let alone 3 strikes to 5 seconds! FL is where u see the lightning, man.

  • @awesomelightning i know i hate living in England/UK

  • @tomboylolz97 it could have stopped before it got to were you live and it could have blown the othe rway

  • I live in the Sierra Nevada Mt's and we don't get much lightning, but when we do it's cool because a 7,000ft. the storm is in your face hitting hills around your house. Oh plus the echos in the valleys make it awesome!!!

  • wont your head be in the cumulonimbus cloud? I would love to hear that thunder.

  • yes basicly its only 1,000ft above us!!!

  • @awesomelightning yes basicly its only 1,000ft above us!!!

  • @BoogyMan1001 lol ..

  • we only have 1-15 striks a storm here in wa

  • Sorry, but in England the temperature are low, and so the thunder have low power, it's naturally. Very rare the chase with more lightning.

  • 10/10

  • this is nothing compared to some of the ones we have in Texas.

  • Nice!! We had quite a lightning show here in Vancouver on the 25th 0f July this year.

  • I know! We never get lightning storms. "oh, A LIGHTNING STORM! grab the lawn chairs and watch!" The people at the fireworks sure got a show.

  • Cool lightning show, check out my lightning storm vids, tell me what you think. This one is better than mine though i thinks.......but there still good.

  • I swear to God (no offence to religious people) that at this very minute in time, I am sat at my computer in Teesside and it is shaking with the thunder. The rain and hailstones are bouncing off the floor right now. I just tried to take a video out of my sisters bedroom windom and I think my phone got so wet it broke. Ooops! Scary man. X x

    Awesome video x

    =x=

  • so awesome

  • the lighning a few minutes ago was better.

i was walking my dog. :] it was imense.

  • Because even high intensity heat requires a certain amount of time to burn or melt a solid object.

  • Nice video i as well wrisk my life to watch and listen to storms like this, i stand out on my porch everytime it happens if i get hit by lightening oh well.

  • did you know that lightning is hotter than the sun? AWESOME VIDEO

  • thats what I heard. Its amazing how some people can survive being struck by it. My only guess is that they may not be hit directly and if they are its only for a nano-second. But that nano-second can screw you up real bad. Guess thats why the mortality rate after being struck by lightning is extremely low.

  • well for the peapole struck by it...well RIP but can you imagine what whoud happen if you got struck by force lightning :D

  • if lightning was hotter than the sun the lightning would burn right through the cement or ground maybe its true though cause its only for like a really really really short time than it hits

  • it IS true!

  • @hockey4life9897 no not the sun the surface of the sun only lol

  • @hockey4life9897 Only the surface of the sun though.

    (Which is deadly hot)

  • I remember once my brother was running to the bathroom and the first thunder went around and he peed himself.. -.- but i luv thunderstorms alot :D *falls asleep but is shocked by the thunder* IM AWAKE!

  • Many thunderstorms during the wet season around Darwin and the Top End, NT, Australia, can produce more than 5000 lightning strikes in an hour, and has one of the worlds highest annaul strike densities per square metre. Many tourists and scientists fly from all around the world to see, study and photograph the Top End's storms.

  • i was in the shower in a lightning storm... i almost got killed

  • i was in the shower in a lightning storm... i almost got killed

  • taht's nothing compareed with the electric sorm at the 14 aug 2007 it have been very very very amazing ocurred 15 or around that of lightings

  • More like August 25, 2007 in Springfield, Vermont in the United States.

  • but we get those storms every day here for like 4 months of the year

  • where?

  • no music

  • A year ago, I was in Chicago and there was an intense thunder storm. The lightning never let up not even for a second and it streaked across the sky almost every time. Was the coolest thing Id ever seen in my life.

  • From the comments it sounds like someone who's never seen lightning before. It was a very average electrical storm with average activity.

  • like your site..

  • Actually since I don't have a site mine is even more mundane than you mentioned - if you're going to dog someone, at least get it right.

  • I checked your site before commenting..i did get it right.

  • No you actually did not but don't worry about it, it is of no meaning or interest to me nor are you.

  • It's just like any other regular thunderstorm!?!

  • Commentary good at the end

  • Cool vid are you talking to yourself?!
