  • wow im playing this song and we go a hole lot fastre but it sound alot more pretty slower!!!!! bravo

  • i love this piece and i play first alto myself. Just played this for LGPE. Very good performance however, a little fast for my taste. Personally i think it sounds better slowed waaaay down. You can pull allot more emotion out of it that way. other than that very well done :)

  • wow that's a very big band...our band is small and pretty much all of them are flutes and we only have like 1 tuba :P I play baritone treble cleft! GO LOW BRASS!

  • come on people where are your pipes .this is bonnie doon ye can't play it without ye pipes

  • I played this at band camp!

    (:

  • In are band , we have second trumpets with straight mutes playing the second clarinet parts,s i dont know if they are, but it makes it sound really really good

  • yeah were playing this song for 7th grad UIL which is coming up, were really good at, it's easy but hard at the same time.....mostly tone.......

  • we're playing this song in band 2

  • we (2nd band @ Ennis JH) were going to play this but it was too easy for us.

  • Of course it is easy.....its not suppose to be a complicated piece.....its complicated in the sense of tone and intonation and blending together which i doubt your band had.......if you had a good band director than he would have known that

  • this is song is sooo pretty. i play the trumpet for a 7th grade band and i just learned how to play it.

  • This is gorgeous!!!

  • OMG, Saxophone day...I think i've died and gone to heaven :)

  • i played this my freshman year in high school. wow everyone seems to have really good intonation!

  • Gotta love Grainger's arrangement!

  • wat?!?!?! no percussion, how dare u

  • yeah... should have had a drum solo in the middle ;)

  • We're playing this now, but we can't even compare to this. Bravo :]

  • thanks :)

  • What does CMU stand for?

  • Central Michigan University

  • GREAT

  • Yeah, and I just noticed the seprano saxes too! THey sound great

  • You guys did a great job here! We just played this in the Tuscaloosa Winds and I stumbled across this video while searching for a recording of this song. Bravo!

  • i really think you guys did a good job on this song, although after the band i was in performed this, the brass section (i think) seems to be a half or whole beat behind... am i the only one who noticed this? or am i just crazy?

  • I've never heard this beautiful melody played this way before. The full rich swelling tones all melded together on one long wave. Considering it was recorded outside of a studio it still sounds good enough to atleast deel the beauty in it. Thank you

  • Yeah I was either sitting right next to the bald guy beside you or the next person over after that...this was also one of my favorite songs

  • Hey, I was there playing alto. I'm the asian kid sitting in the same row as you. Can't really see me in this vid though. This was probably my favorite song that we played that day. That day was so fun. XD

  • my fave percy grainger song. cherish playing these songs together. One day you will wish you could play together again.
