  • And not a single lockout was performed that day.

  • Ouch. Aren't You Smashing Your Meat?

  • @375Xavier haha know it looks like it but believe it or not NOOO!

  • these people obviously know nothing about strength training. the bigger weight u lift, the bigger ur gona get. ur not gona get HUGE by doing perfectly strict curls w 30lb dumbbells ur entire life (ex). u keep doing wat u do powabuilda!!

  • @punk064 Thanks man! I agree, when training espciallyfo power and strength, it is not always about fancy form you gotta keep challenging yourself with heavier weights! Even for size it doesn't have to be perfect in my opinion.. But ya I intend to keep at it!

  • @powabuilda u are a huge motivation man, i mean it! and being 19...amazing. im 18 and do powerlifting, but now am switching to more of a powerbuilding routine. how often do train bench/chest stuff? im guessing u mostly hit shoulders and back real hard most of the time right?

  • @punk064 Well thanks man! And as far as bench and chest presses go I usually try to tran i one a week. Since when I compete in meets the bench is one of the lifts I perform for the total so thats the main reason bu dn't conider it a specialty for me.

  • instead of making excuses for every video on why your form is complete crap, why don't you just say that you are more concerned with how much weight is on the bar than proper form.

  • @dshaltry All I stated in this video is that I did them after heavy deads and rows which wore out my stablizers quite a bit. Also explained why I did them the way I did. And yes I am more concerned about weight because I train mainly for strength..

  • dude on any overhead pressing your supposed to lift the weight up and over your head and keep your back straight..not lean back and kind of push the weight above your forehead

  • @krb0123 Im aware of that Ive tried to work on getting my head under the bar more. But here I wasnt really focused on that as much as keeping the reps fast and explosive and not really spending much time at the top.

  • I missed the part where you push pressed it.....

  • @mvax Well Im aware the form wasnt the best. But I was spent from heavy deads and rows already. I was just trying to make it explosive and not spend time at any one point.

  • @powabuilda post a video of you locking out this weight..

  • @mvax The first couple, I didnt lock out completly but the last ones I felt I did if not darn close especially the last one. Pause at 21 seconds and you will see I fully extended it. I was just not holding them at the top cuz I was trying to keep it quick and explosive.

  • It's funny... this guy cheats to some degree in every video, even real competitions, but you have to admit he does have strength to even be able to move such weights at his bdw. He trains like an animal. You can't doubt he has heart.

  • you should fight chuck norris.. :)

  • @BruggsBunny well I might have a shot he's gettin old now!! hahaha

  • the way you can just curl up and clean 225 is just insane dude still can't get over it, what weight did you use the first time you cleaned, are you naturaly this strong or do you spend hours cleaning away XD or do that 3 by 3 reps u talked about

  • @WilliamTheSilverBack thanksI did hang cleans actually when I was 13 and got up to 135 then 155 I think right around the time I turned 14 ot might have still been 13.... I don't actually do cleans much but I am natural strong at pulling movements and did do alot of hang high pulls and back and shoulder work which helped to I think..

  • @powabuilda jesus christ 155 at 13-14, i'm 18 160 lbs and i can only do about 160 :S

  • nice dude u became more ripped i remember u all skinny

  • @muzimuzi Well, I also didn't lift without a shirt on the older vids..haha

  • good job man, 315 soon??

  • @ElvisFerbeyre ya hopefully for reps!! haha

  • good job on the clean part...i understand that the press is alot to do so i dont expect a lockout...only good lift from u so far

  • @Filled18 well he did lock it out he just didnt press it over his head. he inclined pressed it.

and its not his only good lift. all his lifts are good. he has a perfectly strict 135 curl, and a pretty strict 165 curl .bot of these were easy! nott o mention his 535 deadlift!

hey nate hows that curl tutorial comind?

  • @rctriplefresh5 ya man, It'll get here soon...haha

  • holy crap man.. r you on steroids? jk haha

  • @PowerlifterTy16 Thanks man haha nahhh all natural here!!!

  • awesome lifts.:)

  • @trespasser4000 Thanks alot man!

  • For a second there I thought this was another one of your curl vid's.....ha, ha....just kidding Nate. Looking solid. Athough, if I were you I would try locking each rep out at the top because that's kind of the point of this particular exercise.

    Great job though...very explosive.

  • @BRETZERR haha.. Ya, I probably should have tried to control them more at the top. But I still locked out atleast... But ya, I want to do these fresh next time instead of after deads and bent rows I think I might be close to 10 reps!

  • @powabuilda

Yeah, you locked them out, but more like a jerk than an actual push press (i.e. you dipped your body lower to lock out rather than pressing the weight higher). Which was my point....

Either way....cool to see you try something different. Keep it going bro...

  • @BRETZERR Ya I was just trying to keep them quick and explosive. But Ill have to experiment with different ways but ya thanks!

  • Wow, that is some pretty amazing strength. I'm sure you've answered this elsehwere before but what is your max flat bench press?

  • @bryansel1 Thanks! Im really not sure right now.... I did do 260 for 8 reps just recently. In the past I was maybe around 335. But I had a shoulder injury and have lost some strength on it so Im not too right right now although I think over 300 atleast...

  • Nate!! You're looking awesome brother!! You make it look so easy!! God bless you!

  • @jhmorgan0951 Thanks alot Jim God bless you too!

  • You should train the olympics lifts with a coach for a few months, I think you could put up some very serious weight with your power.

  • @grambo22 Ya, idk maybe that might be something I might try in the future well see...

  • dam man, those cleans looked so easy for you haha, who says cheat curls don't pay off, you cleaned that weight so easily, so it seems to have carried over perhaps, your are just pure power and explosion man!

  • @WeightLifterNerd Thanks! Ya, I could have cleaned it all day, it was the pressing which is harder for me! haha I feel like I can probably hang clean atleast 315 right now but Im not for sure....

  • whats your max clean?

  • @bomdigi1 I really don't know right now. I think I could probably do atleast 315 if I was fresh on a hang clean... At one point when I was 16 and weighed around 160ish I almost hang cleaned 315..

  • @powabuilda wow your an explosive lifter!

  • @bomdigi1 Thanks! Ya I tend to enjoy those type of lifts! I think it partly might cary over to my experience in shot and discus in track and feild, as well as martial arts..

  • Killer... great work Nate!!!

  • @HHH396 Thanks alt Mark! Just trying these out I like them!
