  • 3:45 ..... WHAT A NOGGIN!!!!

  • well, trust me, you really would live in queensbridge then in east europe ;)

  • I know that some people condone projects, but after living in shelters for over 2 years, living with a 10pm kerfew, no visitors allowed, no food or drinks allowed, and security guards all over the place, believe me, living in the projects is a form of freedom.

  • Where legends are born!

  • all projects are good and bad together! same here in England....here in Birmingham, area called Chelmsley Wood was also the largest housing estate in whole of Europe for many years before a lot of the tower blocks got bulldozed to make way for new houses

  • Not one of the worst projects, for sure. But...it has that project look down cold.

  • So many famous people came out of these projects...They have to of contributed back to it's development. I'm going to New York City in a month...Hopefully I cross the Queensboro bridge and swing by.

  • Queensbridge = rap capital of the earth

  • Queensbridge we keepz it thoro dunn!!

  • Im frm Cincinnati and get stereotypes of oh your going to NYC you need to be careful, people will mess with you for no reason, thats stuff happens everywhere from suburbs to the "hood" to the country, my close friends lives in Jamaica Queens NY and ive had no problem on my 4 trips there and im coming back to NYC this weekend and have no fear of my trip

  • never judge a book by its cover every body its the same yes crime exists but i love to hear about people getting along when they were younger its beautiful look at the story behind the story

  • I worked on this project for two weeks going around interviewing residents and Selena, the woman that owns this company, NEVER PAID me for the work.

She paid my roommate, who was White and came to work late and high and had no background in journalism. You know karma is a trip. She's the worst example of a ghetto mentality that I'd run into up to that point.

  • VERY interesting and enlightening . . . WHY then must we destroy? To what avail? A home is WHAT you make it -- today, it seems it's considered acceptable to destroy AND then complain about the condition(s) one lives in . . . makes no sense.

  • Hey this is a great video. I do not know if you remember me this is Shango Blake. My student introduced us. Todd is a close family friend as well.

  • do use think it would be ok for a young white thug like me from the uk could get a picture with QBs southside and northside projects sign without get robbed or any shit like da

  • @outlawontour shit yo. you get shot up by them qb killas ova there.

  • @keinaan12345 uncle murda got a pic with the signs without getten capped so i can get a picture without getten capped

  • I miss HOME!!!.........Im living in MISSISSIPPI now!..!! I always wonder will I ever go back to 40side VERNON THO!!

  • @illmaticice1989 I feel you, I've been gone for a long time. I always miss QB and always will, it's in the blood. 40th side of 10th St.

  • ok, im a custodian there in queensbridge on 41st side. and i gotta tell you , its not as bad as people think it is. everyone there treats you with respect. i cant even begin to tell you how many hellos, good mornings have a nice days ive gotten. yea theres a drug problem but where isnt there? ive never encountered any problems in my 13 plus years here and i wouldnt trade it for anything. its a great community and i thank god everyday to be a part of this development.

  • Song starting at 0:42, anyone?

  • Nothing wrong with living in the projects. Theres projects all over the world and the stigma of living in the projects is found all over the world too. No one is better than anyone else. We all came out our mothers vagina, we all eat, sleep, shit and fuck. We all love our family, get sad, cry some times, laugh and get scared.

  • The italian seems to be a mobster

  • RW^^ QB^^ da fuck up

  • @stormy1 you gotta be kidding me if you wanna live there, especially being from the uk they ll show you a side that you might not be to comfortable with down there. trust me stay in the uk with the flowers.and eat your delicious ice cream cones and hot dogs .you gotta have strong skin and an iron heart to survive out there.its like if charlie brown decided he wanted to go live in the bronx

  • lol u americans make me laugh when you act like in the uk all we do is have tea parties with the queen. we got inner city areas where ull get fucked up or stabbed for looking at someone the wrong way as well actually its the same everywhere its just americans that think they have it the worst.

my initial comment was half sarcastic i obviously knew it wasnt gonna be great in QB i just wanted to know how bad it really was.

  • Comment removed

  • @stormy1s LOL nah you dont wanna live in QB

  • @stormy1s Your an IDIOT to the FULLEST EXTENT!

  • my comment was being half sarcastic u donut

  • I'm from the QB... 40th and Vernon. 32 now and living in Miami. I remember being a kid and my friends from PS 76 that lived in Ravens Wood were scared to come to my area to hang out. It's funny how it was actually a good place to grow up, but on the other side I ran from gun shots that rang out, and knew kids who's mother's were crack heads. The sad side I know, but I know I am much more aware of the problems of the world and more adamant to fix them.

  • i herd that they was terin the bride down in 2012

  • fuck this video queens bridge know dont even realy have wite people it full of black drug dellears qb^^^^

  • dam B....its spelled white....and dealers.....and what folks where sayin is...the bridge was filled with differant races at 1 time...white black and hispanic...which is true my aunt lived there when i was a hooper back in the 80's.....there was alot of italians, and other white races there back then

  • all FORMER residents.... such a crock of shit

  • @SinkaSwim what's a crock of shit?

  • Lol "false claims" im from bk but i got a place in qb too

  • Queens get the money!

  • Its funny how you niggas claim qb but aren't even fromm qb. You know what they call that? False claims. Niggas get beat the fuck up for that.

  • the bridge is over the bridge is over. nah this is the time we destroy and rebuild it.

  • nyc housing rent is sky high!*

  • and the rooms in the apartments are small. my bathroom right now is the size of a project apartment living room. why would anyone want to live there ? even worst you have to deal with people next door and uptop of you.

  • i kno...people think just because crime has gone down and ur in a "safe city" that u cant get hit by a bullet, robbed or killed in the projects. U live in nyc for long enough u see crazythings and realize that the projects can be just as dangerous as they were in the 90's. Its not a coincidence that where there are projects there is a high crime neighborhood

  • lETS THANK GOD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS! DON'T PUT ANYONE DOWN FOR HAVING A ROOF OVER HIS OR HER HEAD.

  • please. fuck your movement.

who the hell wants to live in the projects ? wtf yall tryin to get more people to move in ?

people reach for more! don't be limited to the slums. yall should blow up the projects and give the people living in it a better home to live in. try that!

if it was my choice queensbridge would be no more and everybody gets a mini mansion.

  • Have a friggin' heart! Most people who live in the projects (at least most people who I've known) don't have much of a choice. Project housing, in any given city, is usually rented by those who have limited incomes or who live in minimum wage. Rent is generally based on income or is lower than most other available housing. These days, project housing is better than being homeless but is probably not the most desired place to live by the residents who live there. Get off your high horse.

  • do you even know how much it cost to live in one of those trashy apartments ?

nyc housing rate is sky high! yall want people to pay yall alot of money just to live in that crappy projects.

  • @Queensbridgetheother there is no god. let's thank his hard word and determination to get out of the hood

  • @baltimoreblitz16 Then you think less of me too. I dont live in Public Housing...but I live in a one bedroom ef.....my whole appartment is less than 200 sq ft...I pay full rent and all of my utilities...but I have lived in income based housing...and it was much better than where I am now...but it was more than that...it was a home. The point is....a home is what you make it...where you go is up to you...size of your home, car, income...isn't relevant if you dont have a little pride and gratitude

  • @baltimoreblitz16: you gotta understand that the projects in NYC were made for people to live there for a short time, save enough money and eventually move out. But the economy changed, the manufacturing jobs left, and people couldn't afford to leave.

  • @baltimoreblitz16

You should come here in East Europe to see how we do it, tens of millions of us;)

  • @baltimoreblitz16 its better then being in the streets freezing your nuts off its better to have a roof over your head then living in the streets

  • dont be mistaken by this video. Every project is dangerous. whether it is in queens, brooklyn, bronx, manhattan or staten island.

  • i agree.

people trying to sugar-coat the slums. aint nothing good going on in the projects. all it takes is to be in the wrong part of the projects at in the wrong time.

i'm not from queensbridge but i use to live in baltimore projects and i know what be going on. kids get raped coming home from school and you can get killed in a shoot-out by reckless shooting..plus the cops are heart-less!

  • everywhere today is dangerous from Park Ave to the projects.

  • @Queensbridgetheother YOU A SURE TELLING THE TRUTH, EVERYWHERE YOU STEP IT IS DANGEROUS

  • @Queensbridgetheother : Thank you! The Upper East side of Manhattan, one of the richest parts of the country, is a haven for push-in robberies.

  • yeah

well i live in bed-stuy brooklyn and its now really that nice

    ill tell you that much

especially growing up there in the 90s

    shit was grimy

i also lived in harlem 139 & lenox ave in the 90s

and the shit there was real heisty and grimy to

so i doubt queensbridge doesnt have its downfalls to.......housing projects aint perfect anymore...at least in the 90s during the crack epedimic

harlem and brooklyn was a horrible place to be in...ive made mistakes in the streets grow up but learned

  • i lived in bed stuy to nice place and harlem malcolm X avenue was the shit

  • unbelievableflava just because you listened to big l and w/e doesnt mean you have to act like your from his neighborhood lmao..

  • what makes you say that

  • you said your from 139th and lenox.. your not.

  • well i mean what makes you say that

    is all i wanna know

  • @UnbelievableFlava haha you're all talk. get off big l's dick faggot

  • y 4:58- 5:11 is wow?? its tru actually....very true...

  • whoever dat lil albanian bitch is im gunna find u and kick your ass.. IRISH pride bitch we cumin bak .. we used 2 run new york and it wont be 2 long till we rule it again

  • No disrespect but we all know who really runs new york and who will keep running it for the next years to come, and that would be the Jews they buying everything, and controlling everything under ya guys noses.... while ya arguing on the internet they building and driving people out of homes..... I'm black, I'm just being real about it, If you from NY you need to pay attention on whats going on behind the scenes instead of what happens in front of your eyes.

  • QUEENS BIRDGE DON WORD IS BOND SON

  • queensbridge watup!!!!

  • wow @ 4:58 - 5:11

  • Well, it's about time a clip was shown like that. Big up's to the person that posted that wonderful joint...

  • LOL the guy @ 1:15 is the cab driver from total recall.

  • does anyone know what that song was at the very start?????

  • in france if you dont work you can have 500eurosper month for survive and when you don't have money , health cares are free and hospital too and you know why? beacause we are civilized country we don't let people die homeless we have a heart us!!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah that's true. But it's undoubtful that it leads to abuse. The American society lauds so much more than in France the fact to succeed in life no matter how difficult it was for you to achieve this. Do you see what I mean?

In France as soon as you get in trouble, everybody is like "Damn! Where is the French State? He must help us, QUICKLY!".

And that's pittyful, French are too aided, in my opinion.

  • nobody avoids queensbridge because of shame. they avoid it because it has a bad history and people still dont trust it. i hate how those people at the end are trying to sell everyone on QB like it's the fucking hamptons. get real.

  • hahha gay pride is american hhaah you invented village people and freddy mercury hahaha hahah we invented french kisss we have history before christophe colomb and not you!!! young country you sucks

  • freddy mercury was british.

  • fuck americans fuck english they are the same for me they robbed afrika

  • gays came from france......and you look pretty gay 2 me...fuck france i wish hitler exterminated you

  • my parents are from bénin in africa but im was born in france i'm not french i'm african livin in france that's a difference and you are american you are dumb like bush the evil

  • loLll why do the french talk the most shit but in the end always crys 2 america for help...your all bitchs and losers..ight no one here give a shit about france ....

    uncivilised monkeys

  • oh shit white people used 2 live in the projects lol

  • when the projects were first built they were mostly White people. and history isn't funny its enlightening to our current conditions

  • @QueensPrincess08: My mom grew up in Gowanus houses in Brooklyn and her school class pictures have lots of white kids. Its amazing how things changed.

  • Brownsville brooklyn

  • we aint got no bigass poject buildings down here in bmore, the biggest one got tore down a while back, RIP murphy homes thats where my grandparents and my dad grew up

  • is this out to bye?

  • check out

    pictures of swedish project housing

  • If you give respect there, you'll get respect. Thats how it works. Plain and simple.

  • i herd quenns bridge is th3 biggest projects in new york as well as the world im from marcy projects bedstuy brookyn shit is no where near as big ass queensbridge but we get it popin new york was where projects started the very first projects in the us are unforgotten willamsburg projects willamsburg brooklyn new york is full of projects more than half of them arent on the maps and arent even known but the crime rates are unbeliveable

  • Im a freshmen at L.I.C and QB aint to far..

  • I love Queensbridge memories the good, the bad, Its help shape the person I am 2day. I went to LIC class94, I taught in for of the schools for 9 yrs, resigned bcuz of my business growing, and am a SAG actress, I still give back to my ex community...there is so much talent and creativity in just those 6 blocks Vs. a Boro

  • I also Went to L.I.C Graduated in 1979 and went to J.H.S 125 in Woodside and P.S 122 In Astoria. I Grew up in QUEENSBRIDGE and I have My Associates Degree in Broadcasting From Florida College.

  • Yo DJ W. FLASH QBC OG here Born IN 1961 and Raised There (31 Years) Left in 1992 40 Side 12St 40-07 If you know. I'll NEVER forget where I come From NUFF RESPECT To BIG CHICK And DR. Bob Lee, Big Props to Ron Artest QBC POSSE!

OH and by the way My POPS Still Rests There and he has been there since the 1953!!

  • I used to go to the old LIC high school. Three bolcks away. Good and bad, just like everywhere else in the world. Big ups to QB!

  • QueensBridge is nice place to live by comparing with Serbia

    sorry for bad english

  • of bosnia isnt that right

    sarajevo-dobrinja 4 life

  • @INFAMOUSnish mother fukker QB is a nice place to live comparing it to Colombia too Ndd???

  • Cost of living in Ny is high as hell so its like that lady said. Alot of people there cant help but stay in the projects. I went to Ny and i was shocked at how expensive shit was there.

Look at dude at 4:58...My man wearing a LA fitted in NY in queensbridge. Either thats one brave muthafucka or the film crew had mad security while they was recording and dude wasnt worried.

  • it dont matta i could go in ny wit a st loius hat or a l.a hat wtd do hats gota do wit ne thin

  • that kind of thinking will get you bucked in the wrong place

  • LOL @ u not knowin shit about NY, police got QB on lockdown and wtf @ u thinkin someone will rush someone jus for wearin a LA hat lol shit aint that serious

  • This historical facts about it is boring as hell. But I can respect the director trying to show the other side of QB. Its like here in Detroit, everybody automatically thinks the worse and that its all criminals here when in reality majority of the people here are working class citizens. Its just that the ones that do rob steal and kill. They do it everyday and it overshadows the good of the city. One bad apple spoils a bunch. if 15% of the population commit crimes it can fuck up an entire city

  • stop the voiolence

  • Damn Yo Some People Talk Bout How Bad The Projects Is. But There Are Worse Places IN which One Can Live, Personnaly I Went From LIving In Damn Near SumThing Like A SHACK... Now I Reside IN QB.. FuckiN LOVE Dis HOOD!,Yea Shit HAppens But Thats Every Hood!People Dont Live In The Projects Cause Its KOOL OR SUM BULLSHIT!, They Live In the Projects Cause They Have Too. And It Helps Make Ends Meet , With Rent Being Soo High And Prices Going Up!..

  • are there white people in the bridge and similar projects today?

  • hell yeah there is white people in the projects today LOL...you thought projects were just for black people? damn...educate yourself, the projects are for low-income families, any body who fills out an aplication can get in there

  • the projects are out dated no frills depressing places to live when will the people of the projects stand up and figth for a better place to call home.

  • naw mayne it aint nothin like that, people in my projects alwayz stand and fight for a better place but aint no one lesson... I grew up in the R trae 7 projects on the southside of san antonio texas, been thire all my life, we get abused my cops like everyday n temtaion is a motha fucka cuz in a ruff ghetto place u needa be on your feet 24/7

    FUCK U BUSH HA

  • watch my new video/song!

    pictures of swedish hood!

    much luv

  • QB seems less gully in this vid compared to they way mobb deep, nas, cormega, tragety, nore and capone described it. lol

  • I agree.

  • Respect to QB but South side Jamaica Queens is where all the real mothafuckaz at like papi mason n all that

  • Pappy was from Brooklyn. Respect to Selena keep doing your thing!!!!!

  • What about rappers like Mobb Deep who have their own portrayal of Queensbridge?

  • why i canot put my feet on the grass ?

  • I once drove someone on my bike pegs, and he said to drive him into the building. I thought about it because theres this big black dude holdin the door starin at me and my bike. SO i go in thru the door into one of the buildings (holy shit i was scared), and he pulls out a bag full of greens (weed). my spirit rises, i take the dime that he said he would give me for the lift, and walked casually out..

  • Nas all day QB

  • I grew up in Queensbridge - I lived at 41-17 Vernon Blvd. My mother lived here and raised her grand children here and my kids came every summer. I don't have any bad memories of Queens Bridge - no more than I have where I live now. Media keeps up the hype. It's the choices you make that says the kind of life your going to have. I have seen people come from bad neighborhoods and do very well in life - WHY - GOOD DECISIONS AND GOOD CHOICES.

  • Far Rock is the craziest hood in Queens.End of story. QB had its days back in the 80's and early 90's my pops and grandparents are from QB. I remember going to the Riis center and all that back in the days. It has gotten better around there since.

  • I grew up in QB and most of the people are good, but all it takes is a few bad apples to fck it up for everybody. All you people sitting on here bragging about how bad this area is or that area is need to wake up and realize how dumb you sound. Living in a rough hood is nothing to be proud of. What you should be doing is trying to get out or working to make it a better place. There is nothing cool about being gangsta or a thug or whatever. What's cool is living a positive life. Peace

  • i dont understand why people are so afraid of new york. I was born and raised there and i really dont see anything really wrong wit it. It has good and bad things about it such as any other big city

  • lmao .. wtf sed he was afraid of NY??

lol ny crime rate has been going down fool

  • I like the comment the judge said affordable housing is needed there is nothing wrong with living in a housing development when your a good person doing good things. Many people are not there to use drugs or sell it

  • Largest housing projects in da world and one of the hardest places so uhh i dont know buddy.

  • lol yea QB look real nice on the out side but walk in side the project. and you will see all the real shit the rappers be talking about.

  • QB is A JOKE

  • queens and brooklyn are 2 very different places.especially in southside.but the closest queens ever came to brooklyn was queensbridge.the people over there are really real and not fake like those southside characters!

  • SOUTHSIDE ALL FUCKIN DAII

  • Southside all day?

Southside Jamaica queens was once a cool spot. But yall 40 project, baisley, linden animals turned that shit into a beatdown junkyard. Now you dont see nothing but brokedown houses and dirty niggas all day over there. that aint nothing to be proud of. truss me, i know how yall dingy niggas do over there!

  • fuck outta here......LAME AZZ NIGGAZ..LOL

    "SOUTHSIDE"

  • Jamaica queens got like the highest population of rats in queens. And i aint talking bout fat cat niether. Yall rep southside all day and don't even respect where you live at. That shit went from middle class to crackheads and ugly ass houses. I'd be ashamed to rep that dirty ass hood. I'll be lame - no problem. lmao!

dingey ass dirtball shitkickin scumbag ass dude.

    RIP - Corey D.

  • 41st side

  • That's it! I'm moving to Queensbridge projects!

    What's the parking like?

  • shout out to ma niggas in QB 21 st yerrrr F train lolz

  • well damn man. i wish qb was still like that cuz now shits crazy round here. my brother and dad are still locked down on rikers. they about to go upstate next month.

  • dise folks makin QB look soft

  • ay all these people tlakin bout gangs aint in ny..u damn rite we dunt have gangs, we fuck people up w o gangs. if u say ny niggas front u aint neva been to ny, ny is the realest place in the city..yall got gnags in la cause yall cant take it urself..if u can make it i nny w o a gang straight up u a real dude. n nuttin fake bout ny. niggas ride dolo, scarface witout monolo u feel me

  • Cmon now when you play that nice relaxing music and show QueensBridge you dont think its that bad.... Granted there are barbeques and community events people are scared to walk through ANY housing development where its Queens Bridge Soundview etc... Theres definetly happy children trying to make better of their lives and situations but public housing in America have gone down the drain. SHIT LOOK AT NEW ORLEANS THOSE PLACES ARE MURDER HARBORS. Public housing are drug crime rape robbery infested.

  • how much m2 have flats in this projects?? In Poland, projects like this are for mid-class. I live in old building, my flat has 27m2:1kitchen,1room and bathroom(1x1m).

  • i forgot say that i live in this flat whit 2 peaople and dog:>

  • Hell, I needed to get out of Queensbridge back in 1988. It was a matter of survival. I had three children 3, 5 and 6 yrs. of ages and a husband who would rather hang in the streets. No way would I regret my decision to leave. There may be an other side.....but all i saw was predjudice...fear and hopelessness. My 4 yr old was terrified for YEARS because of the pop pop of gunshots that echoed throughout those projects. She couldn't bear to hear fireworks or a car backfire.

    Better side?

  • Not only does Queensbridge resemble physically the Regent Park Housing Projects in Cabbagetown, Toronto, the history seems to be the same. my father moved from greece to the regent park housing projects and said the same things, no rascism really, they didn't know they were poor, it was mainly greeks, italians, poor irish & scottish an some blacks and portuguese
