Use an external optical drive. Change the boot priority in the bios to boot from the usb drive and use an XP disk. You can also by newer models already configured with XP on them.

Yeah, 7 inches is just a bit too small for me. I think I would rather have a larger Acer computer, that has a bigger screen.

Well, I won't jump the conclusion again, but it seems like Asus is planning on an 8 and 9 inch screen version of it, where the 9 is speculated to have touch screen. Then again, it might be false.

Not false, they're making 8, 9, 10 inch models and some 9" models will have touch screen. Confirmed by Asus recently, should have something new out by summer.

Don't rule this out just as a gadget. Its more than that i mean 30 bucks ram upgrade any SD or cheap external hard drive windows XP and you are set. I got oblivion running low settings at 30 fps halo at 50 quake 3 at over 100 at times long wireless range u could install WoW not relly good fps though but dont say its just a gadget.

If you're looking for a School/Internet PC, this is the one. As for Aim, I'm not sure, you can download a program called Pidgin and use it for several different chatting programs, including aim.
