  • No more Jersey Shore swimming for me! I like to keep my toes, fingers, and earlobes.

  • hungry fish.

  • Outstanding footage. So cool to see them cruise through that clear water.

  • Thats the one time where being on the shore is better than those guys on that boat haha

  • Stay out of the water! lol

  • Wow great video. They are vicious.Teeth are like razor blades.

  • It's always a great sight when you see that. I would have scooped them peanut bunker up, salted them down and Bam, Instant free fluke bait. Those were nice blues, Lots of light tackle fun there. I am originally from Highlands NJ and miss that soooo much. Thanks for the post jerseyjammer67....

  • this is one of the times where you wish you had your cast net and sell those mullet.

  • If I was at the beach and saw this I'd have

My little sisters (11, 9, 6) grab as many bunker as possible and throw them in a bucket or bag and I'd get a jig or spoon in the water... I'd catch a fish throw it on the sand and so on... Bluefish belly strips make amazing fluke bait

  • If I had my fly rod...

  • Very fantastic video, bluefish is a beautiful fish and a fighter for the sportfishermen. But I think is not amazing to catch fishes during a similar blitz, when an area of sea is full of fishes...that's what I think, regards.

  • man i would love to fishing in there ... could u imagine how meny u could catch with a 10 ft cast net? mmm :) but those fish are amazing fighters ... just watch out for those teeth they still fight ya for the hook lol

  • I love when there's a blitz.. my brother and I hit a striper blitz one time on the jetty at barnet inlet, NJ.There were so many stripers, that you could've walked on them. Every cast was a keeper sized fish. The funny thing was....I was soooo overwhelmed about what was going on that I forgot to keep my 2...hahahahaha.....It was just a great experience to be there. They had the peanut bunker pinned in the "horseshoe".

  • That's soooo cool!! There's so many bunker then you just see blues in like a foot of water! And from shore!! Great video

  • wheres the wild snooki

  • Nothing like seeing bait beach itself rather than get eaten.

  • "Blitz is ON...HIT "EM while they're HOT" !

  • Bluefish gone wild!

  • what where they in like 6 inches of water

  • What time of year is this?! I'd LOVE to check this out live!!

  • bluefish are great!

  • awesome!!! normally one would juz put down everything and start fishing!! but u are cool!! u took it easy and video it!! so we get to watch it!! nice job!!

  • Awesome

  • No I would not fish anywhere near people surfcasting during a blitz from a boat, especially for bluefish that can be jigged in deeper water anytime. If you surfcast a lot you know access can be an issue, boat guys have unlimited access so why get in the way of surfcasters that have a limited area to fish.

  • thats sickkkk...you'd have to be a woman not to be able to catch one of those fish under those conditions

  • god do i wish i wuz there with my rod... blues r sooo much fun!

  • Free bait!

  • great video!

  • If I were fishing there i'd probably blast that boat with a bank sinker....hes got the whole damn ocean....

  • @lowaccord66 umm hes following the fish tough guy...if you were on ur boat nd saw blues breaking like this wouldnt you maneuver your boat near them so u could catch them?

  • WOW

  • OMG WTF! GET THE ANCHOR HOOK!!!!

  • OMG quick get the anchor hook!!!

  • OMG !!! I WISH FISHING THERE...

  • "thats nature" ^^HAHA

  • wtf y dosnt this ever happen wen im at the beach?!

  • DDAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM thats fucking crazy the blues need to do that in Ocean City MD lol

  • i have also seen that at sandyhook

  • new jersey ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aww miss jersey shore!!! Moved to seattle

  • Man does this video make me homesick for the Jersey shore and the fresh bluefish my Mom used to make!

  • Glad to see something other than guidos coming up when I searched for "jersey shore".

I remember that kind of blitzing when I fished off the end of Armstrong ave here in Staten Island. We ended up running into the water with our shoes on to cast further out, just as the school of blues retreated.

  • THATS AWESOME.

  • This is weird, why are they coming in so close?

  • @Gtrplyr1 thats how the bluefish trap the smaller fish to eat them. Typically they surround them and push them to the top of the water so they have nowhere to go but here it looks like they pushed them to the shore. pretty smart ah?

  • Thanks man, thats interesting. I have never seen anything like that. Reminds me of the "sardine run" with the dolphins, sea bird, sharks etc, and in this case the fishers are the whales who just totally take advantage of the situation :)

  • haha why cant this happen when im down there fishing

  • Great video.

  • in ny there is no limit on blues. when I see a blitz, i grab a rod nd reel, and cast a diamond jig bout five feet past the last fish, nd then i just reel it right through them. if they don't bite, then I still end up snagging one anyway. but once im hooked up, I reel in fast, chuck the fish up onto the beach, and cast again until I have all that I can carry.

  • this happened to me a few years ago, they were big bluefish

one guy came out with a 35" 20lb one or something

i have fished the surf ever since

  • i wiish i had a casting net right then

  • this happened to my local beach when I was a kid, same exact thing, blues chasin pogys, you could cast in with anything and youd get a hit

  • great video! Me and my buddies are heading of point pleasant, NJ tomorrow for a night trip for Blues..... hope we nail em!

  • i was fishing this morning at 5:30 on the beach in point pleasant there was a blitz and i caught at least 15 fish. They only weighed 7 lbs each but it was still fun

  • haha mabye. That would be something.

  • One of my favorite beaches, Monmouth, I was there about a year ago and the same thing happened. My dad and I caught about 30 total.. freakin sweet

  • we might have been at the same blitz haha. I was fishing the surf on monmouth beach last year too and me and my pops were killing blues. All weighed in around 10 lbs.

  • Clear water

  • - _

    O.O

  • hey do you know when are the first blitz in summer ? thank you .....

  • wish that would happen in the brooklyn area lol

  • I wish fishing was like that all the time. Awsome video. Thinking about vacationing around the Jersey shoreline this fall.

  • MAN i love seeing that it gets the heart pumping like you wouldnt believe!!!! nice video

  • I like fishing and this looks excellent, can you tell me the exact location, I will really appreciate. Im so going this summer

  • if you had a troll net you could have bagged some serious bait

  • wer is this in jersey.........

  • haha beast. I probably would have just started fishing instead of waiting, but then I wouldnt see this great vid.

  • lol go in the water and see how many toe u still have great vid

  • great footage ! this is a classic fall bluefish blitz... suicide bunkers ...

  • damn

  • Should grab or make a spear and test your skills :D

  • great video! i love watching this.

  • just throw a cast net into them to catch all of them

  • if i were the cameraman i would have most definetly stood back a little more bluefish are very nasty feeders

  • the fish were in the water clown he was on the land ? stand back lol ?

  • i meant if sum stupid idiot walks in the water there screwed

  • no..............you said you would go swimmin in there with them cause you said they dont have teeth....your crazy or stupid

  • well i meant i woodnt belive me i caught blues before i no wat their teeth are like

  • Thats great.. the bait fish got stuck in the waves, blues came in to attack at free wil...

  • AWESOME VIDEO

  • wow ive never seen that happen before.. why do they do that

  • hunger...

  • @pardise92 they do this because they follow the bait around to eat that was all the fish that washed up on the shore. perfect time to be fishing,
