It's not really that popular, but it's common knowledge. You can even buy the kit to prepare them like the fondue set in several stores. It's not traditional for sure, but we are a very Americanized society so we do know what it is. I gifted my uncle one of those sets once because his wife was raised in the USA, but I have never tried them.

Just like pb&j sandwiches, it's not common that we eat them, but almost everyone knows what they are. Those I love! :)

@meloka4evr It has come to our knowledge thanks to American tv, but it's not a cultural or local custom to have them, if it wasn't for tv and the kit they sell in stores (but mainly for tv) I wouldn't know what it is, lol. I have never tried them though.

The reason we don't eat that is that we are more commonly to eat some more cultural. Yes, we eat from Burger King and all that, but we still push that cultural thing, like rice and beans, etc. Of course, we eat them in camping, but camping is neither common in Puerto Rico. That's why.:)
