Droughts, Fires, Floods in endless cycles documented since the beginning of time. Human habitation is spreading as pioneers into geologically vulnerable real estate. Naturally they are caught up in these historic cycles. Contrary to political agendas, No blame, No faults, just cycles that prove that man is a miniscule parasite experiencing a life of prosperity and loss on this great pulsing planet Earth.
@MrStripyHead more poisonous snakes/animals than anywhere in the world, flooding on an almost yearly basis, guys that treat women like Sh*t, fist fights every weekend and low average IQ's and low average pay rates. Sounds like a great place
@MrStripyHead Wow.. really? You can honestly judge people like that? .. Man grow the fuck up. Just trying to have a conversation with you, and you spit out insults.. Fucking hell, call your self an aussie yet your bagging out every other state.. well done mate
@danorambo constantly? there's never been flooding like this, and there has never been a cyclone anywhere near this big. there have been smaller floods and cyclones that have done damage but nothing on the scale we're seeing this season, so yes it is a great place to live.
@danorambo - Queensland is a big state, and cyclones don't always hit the same patch of coastline. Also, Brisbane is rather hilly, and those who can afford it don't buy or build in creek gullies or on the river flood plain. In fact, it is probably the people who have moved up from Melbourne in the last twenty years or so that are most likely to be affected by this flooding.
Best of luck to you, your uncle and neighbours. I'm always so proud of Aussies during 'disasters'. Like you said, there's no crying or whinging or getting dramatic, it's just heads down bums up, get the job done, have a bit of a laugh cause what can you do? That's life and you just have to deal with it.
Thanks a lot mate. I'm a QLD resident (Townsville) living and working in Dubai. We are getting very limited news coverage of the floods and your video has painted a very honest, yet surreal picture of what is happening. As you said mate, "Poor Bastards"

It's the same story on every comment page on every horrific video some flammin clown who thinks it's funny to write heartless bullshit!
@cuntycuntbags999 Why don't you pack your bags, leave Australia and go straight back to Assyria instead of breeding your toxicity across the Great Southern Land? You're not wanted there or in Australia.
@cuntycuntbags999 have u got a single human bone in that body of ur's?

Mate, your intro is superb LOL Funny as fuck, subscribed, also a great video, and shocking to see it how it is there in aus, hope your all ok there..Great vids keep em coming :)
i am over near Gatton, at Crowley vale.. we bailed before the flood water got to bad, was only ankle deep when we left. ended up getting flooded in at our refuge, 200 acre horse stud and about 6acres didn't have water on it.
the house was raised high enough that it wasn't damaged at all. but the lower level was washed through, we've got a thick layer of stinky mud through everything down there. long cleanup ahead. We got off so easy compared to some of our neighbors.
My thoughts are with you and your family and all the people who have suffered. I'll be donating to the premier's fund. Hey Greg, I just saw you on the 9 news coverage down here in Melbourne, they even joked about about the bloke saving his favorite bottle of whisky LoL. Onya mate.

Thanks for posting. It's been heartbreaking to watch all this devastation. I noted a guy trying to save a kangaroo from drowning getting into trouble with the cops. Doesn't this just speak volumes about the mafia government, completely souless, & Gillard smiling whilst being interviewed. So as the people applauded him, the nazis upbraided him. Great vid & thanks for keeping us informed.
you could almost sell that footage to the news - well done. gives another perspective on the devestation caused. my heart goes out to all families affected - a sad day for Brisbane. Can u post vids of the cleanup later - it must be catastrophic.

@vxqqqq January 1974. This one in 2011 isn't as bad in Brisbane but since 75% of Queensland is currently under water, it's the worst Australian natural disaster ever.
@Msunbird02 thanks friend. and holy shite -- i didn't know the circumstances were so dire in Queensland. (my profound ignorance is the result of rarely taking in news of any kind) if you're a Queenslander i do hope you come through it all in the best possible shape...

Thanks for reporting on all the damage. I really hope you can recover from this in good time. Floody hell is right. And I thought I was having a shit start to the year...
Amazing how well y'all are adjusting to the whole event. When things got out of hand during the aftermath of Katrina, we started sniping each other.
Its stressful times like this that one discovers the magnitude of the community spirit. It's good to see neigbors helping each other out. Still, sorry to hear about your aunt and uncle's house but at least everyone is safe. Mother nature is one cruel bitch isn't she?
Greg man, nature is the most beautiful thing to see, and yet can have the harshest effect for all life forms. Those folks around you are suffering seeing their property ruined. And others have died or gone missing. I guess there is a thing called 'spirit', and it's what everyone is showing as they help each other out. Good on them! And you mate.
Gooosh, this is awful, dude! :O Are you not afraid standing in that water, I mean, I hear that strange noice of some bugs, I bet there are also all kinds of creatures in the water?! o.O I'm so sorry for your Uncle, come on, such a beautiful home and his furniture! :O what will he do now? He has to replace all of that! :O This is just awful ... Is everything all right with your house?
That's really scary and tragic to know that a flood is coming through like that. Just this solid depressing guarantee. And then to watch it happen like that.. man..
I'm sorry that's happening to you guys, what a bummer! But at least people are helping each other out... that's why I have hope for humanity... in times of crisis people really do come together. Of course when the floods subside and life starts returning to normal then all the mud slinging (no pun intended, haha) will happen.. Blame for lack of warning systems, too much urbanization or whatever else people think of.. at least that's what would happen here in the US. Will be thinking of you!!

Curacao (my home town) had a hurricane pass by (which it never did since over 50 years ago) and flood many places. But your situation makes it look like a lil splash of water.
What's the probability that you get snatched by a croc? Have you got an anti-crocodile plan mate? You might find one snuggled up beside ya one morning.
It's so good that you are there for your Family. That new truck is really paying off for them and you. Your a good Man! Hope things settle back to normal soon. We're proud of you!
Mate I don't even know what to say. Keep up that aussie spirit. I'm in Sweden now, and the best I can do is keep donating and hoping everybody battles through, safe and well. I fucking love my country and, though its silly to be proud of something you can't control (ie. where and whom to you are born), I'm damn proud of you guys, and proud to see the aussie spirit remaining.
@lodevijk Oh thank god.... still, maybe he can work some strings with Satan. I mean, the little prick already sold his soul (whatever there was of it) to the guy, maybe he can pull his ear. Throw in some other worthless soul and have the floods magically recede!
Sympathy, empathy and wishing you all drier and happier times, from your friends in Hawaii. We (and the mainland U.S.) have had our share of rain & flooding too, but not nearly as bad as in your part of the world. Good luck, and seriously: do take precautions against the bacteria, etc in those flood waters.
im donating $5.00 now. i am on unemployment so i cant really donate more. really wish i could. i like the people of Australia. your friend from California.
This is one of the saddest video's. The amount of destruction is horrible. But the attitude and heart that Australians have is truly amazing. Our prayers are with you from Canada.
Thanks mate for the video. Keep up the work, your channel is the best to inform us on the other side of the world. fuck the media reports, your reports seem to be more real. thanks and good luck.

And others have died or gone missing. I guess there is a thing called 'spirit', and it's what everyone is showing as they help each other out. Good on them! And you mate.
Pete.

Here's hoping that nobody else is seriously injured and there are no more deaths due to the flood. Hope all is well for you and yours.

@BlowDevilUp we don't have crocs in brisbane, they're up north like mackay generally and further

To where did you transport all of your uncle's stuff?
(I nearly squirted coffee out of my nose at the eye-bulging thing, lol)

Mate I don't even know what to say. Keep up that aussie spirit. I'm in Sweden now, and the best I can do is keep donating and hoping everybody battles through, safe and well. I fucking love my country and, though its silly to be proud of something you can't control (ie. where and whom to you are born), I'm damn proud of you guys, and proud to see the aussie spirit remaining.

I just read on PZ Myers' blog: "Justin Bieber sends his prayers to the victims of Australia's floods".
Oh yeah, so there's no need to worry. It's all gonna be OK now. Too bad he didn't ask people to donate anything.

I was expecting to see more people upset and crying. It might have squidged out a tear out of my eye seeing none of that.

While I'm sad for the devastation caused, I'm glad to see everyone pulling together.
...and to be fair, the old guy brought the wife with him also...he's gonna need the whiskey!
My best wishes to all affected.

This is one of the saddest video's. The amount of destruction is horrible. But the attitude and heart that Australians have is truly amazing. Our prayers are with you from Canada.
