Well today, this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for one thing. And that one thing is something that I can share with most of You Tube... HECK! maybe even the whole world! A better way to think of God is the mind or complex laws of the universe. and yes people do suffer if they engage in negative behaviour....seems kinda reasonable to to me. and I think the only thing thats asked for money for God from you would be the church, im not sure you have as much to be thankful for as you think

I am thankful that I don't believe in some false religion anymore, and that I decided to think for myself instead of worrying if every last action was going to send me to hell. Barring any unnatural methods of death, you have 70-120 years, depending on various factors, including your health, your fitness level, genetics, etc. Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT have eternal life through jesus christ. Why wouldn't you want to be rich or famous? Why wouldn't you want to be rich or famous? I can understand not wanting to be famous, sure, but are you telling me that you really wouldn't want to have the ability to buy whatever you want and bang hot women (or men, if that's what you're into), and be able to afford a nice place, and never worry about going hungry?

I am thankful for our troops who willingly die for the ones they love, I am thankful for the fact that most of us have moved away from our past differences and come to accept each other for who we are and not what we do, I am thankful for everything I have in my life worth living for: family, friends, and loved ones in general. And even though the fragile economy has caused many I know problems, I am thankful for the fact they never lose hope.

I'm thankful for abandoning Christianity because I became educated and realized that it is mythology and superstition like Greek mythology, Egyptian mythology, Ugaritic Canaanite mythology, etc. I no longer believe in a book where the God of it says that a bat is a bird and who created the earth/dry land, the seas, plants, fruit and vegetation all before the sun.

I'm thankful to myself, as I don't believe in a god, that I'm somehow still alive, despite a lot of the stupid things I've done, which I've done plenty of, and the abounding stress I have endured in my 21 years, and continue to endure. I'm thankful that I still somehow have a house, despite the constantly worsening economy, although it's in a town I absolutely abhor. I'm thankful I have a family that cares about me despite the fact that I can be a huge jerkass a lot of the time.

I was a christian for over forty years. Over that time, I slowly began to realize how silly it was. Then I studied science at college, landing myself a masters degree in physical science and one in nursing. That was the clincher. Reality just makes sense.
