  • I want ONE!!!!

  • But can it make Minecraft run smoothly?

  • @MrROTD That goal is still not achieved

  • ofcourse he's asian haha

  • Anyone else notice that it's almost always a "refined" British accent that is involved in translating from Japanese to English? It reminds me of national Geo-graphic. >.>

  • will it run crysis

  • 2 things everyones saying

    1. lol cant run crysis

    2. lol micro$oft

    get your own opinions, children

  • @moralreef What if those ARE their opinions? Mind your own business.

  • @buddythedog12345 i assume you thought of them, then read my comment, then got upset.

  • @moralreef not really..

  • @buddythedog12345 so then why are you being such a martyr for a bunch of stupid kid's jokes? why cant a video just have an interesting discussion about HPC architecture without a bunch of fucking awful reddit jokes?

  • @moralreef because of people like you.

  • @buddythedog12345 look at the top comment, then look at the volume of comments aping the same thing. this is the reason i hate internet culture so much. christ you're an idiot.

  • @moralreef If you hate "internet culture" so much, you should just get off of it. The internet would be much better with people like you gone.

  • @buddythedog12345 right, the people wanting to dicuss computer science are better off the internet than the thousands of screaming reddit children all aping the same, unfunny jokes. i'm so glad you're a fan of your own homogenous, dull existence. fuck off.

  • @moralreef I never expected you to lack the brain power to understand my comment- I guess I was wrong.

  • @buddythedog12345 i know perfectly well what you were talking about, just stop replying.

  • more of a HPC than a supercomputer, but pretty rad nontheless

  • No, it dont runs Crysis, Linux.

  • I could play one hell of a Minesweeper game with this.

  • How is that you people are surprised that the computer run on Linux? Not a single supercomputer runs on Windows. Just search on Wikipedia.

  • Why are you fanboys hating on Microsoft? Windows isn't even built in mind to do the range of things that Linux does.

  • @Feylihn because they are fuckwit children.

  • its a fallout style supercomputer litterally

  • But, can it run crysis?

  • don't worry guys it's ONLY 420,000$ to make!?!

  • @slash123man456lash Compared to government funded billion dollar supercomputers?

  • @himpllx Slutty Pumpkin.

  • Fuck I would totally play Skyrim and BF3....at the same time and get 1 million fps.

  • 90,000 fps on crysis 2

  • WOW, such bullshit. The CPU is what you primairily want, intel i7 extremes with 32gb ram in each and he could cut the size of that room by like five times. Also the GPU would give you good graphics on the primary server computer. With his computer you could play crisis and bf3 and mw3 and minecraft and skyrim and team fortress 2 and world of Warcraft all at the same time. Unless he hacked every GPU to use the VRAM and the graphics processor as a micro computer within a computer within the prima

  • @kendoman96 it is called CUDA. that is what he is using to take full advatage of the gpu's some having 480 or something cores.. and do terraflops now gigflops like a I7 does

  • @topper727 Not gigaflops. sorry typo

  • @kendoman96 the CPU is totally not what you want. Modern graphics cards have far more processing power than CPUs. You need to have lots of threads running the same code to take advantage of this power, but this is not a showstopping limitation. He put two fast graphics cards in every motherboard for a reason.

  • @BaddeJimme totally agree , you got it right , the stream processors in the vga cards in the latest models are getting to more than 400 in a single card , this is an advantage to the process compared to cpu which has4 to 6 maximum ,in some types of processes the vga card is 100 to 200 x faster than the cpu .

  • Amazing

  • At LEAST it runs on Linux! NOT Microshaft!

  • @ximenoworks hahhahahahahah , totally agree

  • @ximenoworks

    microShit Lol

  • Comment removed

  • All of that power just to check email.

  • nice but can it run bf3 ?

  • But can it run Crisis XD

  • @skr101274 It'll rape crysis...

  • How man fps will i get when i play minecraft

  • Maxishines computer fucking kicks its ass and 400,000+ dollars for him is like a pocket change (please note that this is a joke please dont take this seriously)

  • yes I know what an fucking gpu is

  • Fatal error "failed to proccess *#[tetris.boot]%*" closing program

  • I wonder how hot that room is o.O

  • So much for having no more then 4 GPU's in SLI

  • From the video I think the computer is running linux =) god i love that.

  • @EbanSoul sure it is

  • Use ATI and AMD and it would only cost 1/2 of that talk about price for performance!

  • @0zfer Yeah, but amd sucks!

  • @0zfer ATI card is as good as any NVIDIA card AMD cpus cost like 1/6 of an intel cpu for something that is at least 60% as fast.... still way better

  • but will it run minecraft.

  • wil a 1200w psu cut it?

  • @Antoniodu3 maybe if its corsair :D

  • @ChipsAhoyCA what about Ultra x3 1600w

  • blugene is the fastest computer in the world so far

  • In answer to all your questions:

    1. It doesn't blend.

    2. It guess it probably can run Crysis at max settings. Just.

    3. It can play minesweeper. That isn't a problem.

    4. He has probably over-clocked a few bits and pieces, since this would keep the price down, which was the goal.

  • @applehelpification You answered all my questions, Thanks!

  • Yet, it still can't play Crysis ... :'(

  • Good luck going to a LAN party, hahah :'D

  • Only $420,000....

  • like how the monitor is on the floor

  • But will it blend?

  • i wonder what his 3d mark 11 score is

  • I love computers, but I have to say with honesty that the challenge in computers is not linking tons of them together... that doesnt actually take as much talent as you would think... but the real challenge is improving computers on the microprocessor level.

I also think that its not good to judge a machine by "price per performance" but rather, a better judgement is performance per energy(in watts) input.

  • its a cluster though not a super computer, its a cluster from some blade servers :/

  • i hate his accent !!1

  • wonder how good it could play games

  • sending him a virus

  • @Octavideoz LOL :)

  • @Octavideoz it would just re write it and send it back in the form of porn. bound to get the sender infected.

  • but can it blends?

  • @MrRhex You must be American

  • Playig minecraft on that

  • @118ichigo Even on a crap pc you can play that... play battlefield 3 on ultra graphics with 8 times anti allising on resolution of 1000000X10000000

  • i wonder wat there power bill is over 9000

  • the fans have probably cost them more then building a regular super computer...

  • Thats just what i play battlefield 3 on...

  • can this supercomputer make this youtube video load any faster!!

  • I guess that computer cant detect earthquakes or tsunamis?

  • I use to build super computers, then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @supatroopa411 an arrow , not a bullet ? :)

  • @mr2000jp Skyrim....

  • @supatroopa411 no this is japan you should really say

    私はスーパーコンピュータを構築するために使用して、私は膝に矢を取った。

  • @supatroopa411 Ok... I give up... why do I see this comment about taking an arrow to the knee everywhere? Is this some sort of running joke or is it a reference to an actual event?

  • @havabighed its from skyrim.

  • The easy part is putting the parts together. The harder part is writing a custom program that runs them all together.

  • Health and safety would have a birthday in there lol

  • 1:30 you know it's super, because they spent additional money to give them high end casing with lights!

  • they should have used nvidia tesla

  • let me see if i get this right. some chinese guy bought 700 Xboxes, put them together and won a nobel prize? Who would have thought

  • @MrRhexx what are you talking about , is that about this video , or another one ?

  • @MrRhexx way off i guess..

    3 facts:

#1 That guy isn't Chinese but his a Japanese.

#2 He didn't used 700 Xbox but used GPU's and parts from computers.

    #3 Your an Idiot.

And its not like having idiots like you connect 700 xbox and win a Noble prize. Its much more deeper that an idiot like you can't understand.

  • @pauliazz94 Its called a joke, i saw the same video as you did bro and I know there weren't Xboxes and that he was not chinese. And just for your information, Xboxes have GPU's as well. Peace

  • @MrRhexx They are not Xboxes, they just computers put together from computer components available to consumers like you and I. The hardware has so much advancements and increase in performance in such short time that building a supercomputer has become as easy as building a shed in your backyard, provided that you have the time, money, and knowledge to do so.

  • @Kevintwo so true , thanks for summing it up

  • Well yes,but can it run crysis

  • Probably but so can a modern computer

  • LOL I love how it just looks like a bunch of gaming computers without a chassis

  • @flukes777 what is that , sorcery

  • @mr2000jp HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • OHHH guys dont worry he said " 1billion" Dollars sweet thats in my budget =D

  • I wonder has he overclocked these gpu and cpu ???

  • @pimpjuice739 overclocking causes instability , i dont think he would do that

  • @mr2000jp No it does not. As long as you're doing it carefully, the computer would be stable.

  • @calvinblinkee you might be right , but why risk it for 5% more performance ?

  • @mr2000jp These high end consumer parts are easily capable of being overclocked heavily and they gain quite a lot of performance lol.

  • I bet it probably couldn't run crysis on max settings

  • But will it run minesweeper?

  • Did you know that this project was features in nVidia's CEO Jen Hsun Huang's talk during the recent HPC conference? Well done to them who managed to build this.

  • But will it blend?

  • de teewm brok te re-cord for cumputing tem

  • when i saw the fans I realized GHETTO SUPERCOMPUTER!!! lol

  • Linux, check. Wires everywhere, awesome. All I need are the blueprints!

  • I don't care if it products my future that thing bust game reAlly well

  • 1:37 Yep, it can predict earthquakes alright.

  • @DarknessKingCoH That was cold bro.

  • the main problem with this is the bandwidth between each module and thats the only reason hes not getting as high calculations per sec as it seems like it would be, i know for a fact that all of the high end cards he has do at least 300gflops each so if you multiply it out in theory he should have 10-20+ tflops but his internal network is what is slowing the whole thing down, it has the potential to be much better but it needs a stronger foundation.

  • wonder if it can run norton

  • @DJMizticNZ doubt it

  • Doesn't beat the 2.5 PetaFLOP record set by China....

  • But can it run Tetris?

  • nagasaki still exists!! thats a bigger news..

  • I wish I could afford one of those GPU's

  • just one GTX 580 GPU does 1,581.1 GFLOPs (1.5811 TFLOPS)

  • @yashenkin

158 teraflops for this supercomputer, not 1.58...

  • Terraforming is a go...lol

  • 0:34 holy shit ....the host has a computer voice

  • @saneightyseven oh , you think so?

  • watch porn in HD

  • Imagine playing video games on this!!! :D

  • i need some new perts for my kerrs

  • I would just play Runescape on it. With max graphics..

  • GPU's cant be used for all types of calculations though...

  • @d3tach3d Well actually they can if the software is written to take use of GPUs.

  • 420 :D... thousand dollars :(

  • asian microsoft sam?

  • great. well done

  • 900gflops is not much for so many "pc"s

many big companies and for example the united airforce are using PS3s as supercomputers because the ps3 can reach ~230 gflops in the standard version and if you use it as a supercomputer with some changes then it does ~250 gflops

    4+250= 1000gflops (1teraflops)

  • @ICEMANZIDANE ok , but what is special about this computer is the price, its ultra cheap

  • @mr2000jp 4 ps3's cost about 1200$?

  • @silvervolt7 ok , but this computer performance is a looooot more than 4 ps3's

  • @mr2000jp 158 trillion calculations per second ~ 158000 GFLOPS.

So, yeah, definitely more than 4 PS3s.

I don't know what silvervolt7 was on about.

  • @mr2000jp Supercomputers are basically just many parts of a standard computer combined together, the hardware actually inside the supercomputer is not more powerful then you're standard PC, it's just using many of them combined together, which is where it gets all that power from.

  • @silvervolt7 we can buy 4 for about 400 pounds lol

  • @silvervolt7 my graphics card has a teraflop of compute power and its only $150

  • @ICEMANZIDANE Who said 900gflops???????!!!!!! In video clearly mentioned about 760 GPU with 158 Trillions calculatings per second (TFlops). NOT 900 gflops! :-)

  • @ICEMANZIDANE

You're absolutely correct, I could pay $90 for a graphics card with 1 TeraFlop

  • @ICEMANZIDANE where did you get the fact that the limit is 900gflops?

  • Can it run Crysis?

  • Can it play tetris?

  • They're just preparing for battlefield 3

  • @XxMultiKill0081xX lololol

  • @XxMultiKill0081xX hahahahaha

  • Can it run Crysis?

  • crysis!!!!!!!!

  • lolololol only 420000$

  • @mississippi789 compared to multi million dollar systems.

  • @bryan350z exactly

  • How much does he have to pay for his electricity bill monthly? LOL

  • @KatiushaVN4 the bill should be huge

  • I made a super computer by connecting the nerdiest asians in my school into one cluster.

Yes, they have a hidden gigabit port behind their necks.

  • This asian dude is using a basic strategy...quantity over quality.

  • ......But can it play crysis on max settings??

  • I will be glad if the Japanese give me only one of their computers ;'(

  • 1tb video card??

  • if it can handle 1000000000 dogs spawning in minecraft i kill my self...

  • Only about 420,000

  • 800 - 1000 Giga Flops = 10000000% more speed than people's 4.2 Ghz computer
