yah it took about 7 seconds for you to get to 60 get a twin turbo toyota supra then you will be doing 60 in 2nd gear and 160 170 at the top of fouth gear!!
@shanelovedove get a motorcycle you can do 60 in first gear! being able to go x speed in a gear doesn't mean its fast, it just has long gear ratios. and a 7 second 0-60 is not bad for a stock car.
Get em just right, you can hit 6.7-6.8 on em, not bad for a stock 210hp v6 given the weight. The torque curve is fantastic and the high end feels less restrained (vs the GT), and the more aggressive gear ratios also help as well.
theres something i just cant make myself understand. why do people hate on the 2000 to 2005 eclipse? the 2g eclipse is easyer to mod and comes stock awd and turbo where the 3g doesnt come stock with a turbo and is fwd but thats no reason to talk crap 24-7 and dont even get me started on the idiots that do the evo engine swap with the 3g eclipse. stop complaining about the cost of tuning a 3g eclipse and just do it. who cares about the stupid dsm. there out dated anyway
@3G4life1990 im 20, and owned four cars. a neon (Haha, i know), a civic w/ a gsr swap (haha again), a passat 1.8t (yet again), and now my eclipse gts. although the eclipse might not be balls to the wall faster than the older models, i love everything about my eclipse. best car ive owned by far. its surprisingly quick (NOT fast).. and gets lots of compliments. great daily driver, and with basic mods really wake up the v6. HI HATERS: i see more chicks driving mustangs than eclipses. get real.

i have a 95 eclipse gs myself...but i kinda have a problem with it...it misses a lot...even when your easy on the gas...and it use to miss at about 3.5 but lately it's dropped down to missing at 2.5 and some time's even 2...can anyone help me on this.?
your best bet? mmm MAJOR weight reduction, and a rippmods supercharger, along with other supposting mods, exhaust, yada yada..... i hate 350s but they are pretty quick..
ripp mods is the cheaper way to get a 3g to 0-60 in 5 sec but hey whatever lol im ganna build up my engine first and go talk to some people at the local performance shops and see if i cant find a good turbo setup

well a couple months ago i had an issue where my intake was actually getting sucked up against the hood after about 4k of my car because it came loose and ya. after it hit 4k ish it just stopped accelerating and made some weird noises. all i had to do was go to an auto part store and get some 2 dollar pieces to latch it back down. id check to see if your intake is loose. it wouldnt be the rev limiter unless its messed up
@KWIKSilver88 had the same problem with my intake. was thinking about getting a CAI anyways and half of the foam on it ripped off the stock one, so I bought the Injen SP1869BLK with the hydro shield. its black and looks nice under the hood. doesnt stand out like a chrome one would. gave me a few extra MPG's and deff more HP. the first time with it i could feel the power. but thats up to anyone who wants to spend the money

I got the speed limiter removed on my cav and I beat one all the way and he said he quit at 120, I pulled on him the whole time. idk what lag you are talking about, but i know my 4th isnt that strong. but its the same as ive seen on other videos of my car. chirping into 4th? id like to see that.
if you have a stiff clutch, your car doesn't really have to be fast to chirp 4th. when i had a turbo LS a while back it still chirped 4th with the stiffer clutch i had even after i took the tubo kit off.... and it was slow as fuck
my tibby would own that car. eclipse got 0-60 in around 8.0 and 0-100 in about 19 sec. i raced a 5 spd from a 70 roll and had him by a fender at 120 but would have been more if i wouldnt have missed 6th gear. stock vs stock an eclipse would beat me.
must not have been an eclipse gts, although that mph range you mentioned is fairly weak for my car. but as far as 0-60 times go, you are slower. i know this because i had tiburons in mind when i bought my car, and chose mine over it. here ya go:
Ok, these numbers must be off the net, just cause the manufacturer wrote those numbers or car and driver did doesn't mean they are right. I have seen a tibby stock go faster than a 7.4 and a gts faster than a 6.9. My 04 cavalier base when it was stock was supposed to go just over 9 seconds, I got it there in 7.5, Its all in the driver.
yea u can def tell its stick cuz you can hear the "chirp" into second...even with the "sport tronic" you can "chirp" into second without a stick...ohh and good work with the shifting...i like it...
the gts had 10 hp more, doubt you will see anything hp wise to the wheels, and the gts had the MVIM(Mitsubishi Variable Induction Management), but other than that there really was no difference
I have a 03 eclipse GTS. It uses an automatic transmission with a slap-over manual override. All you do is push up on the gear shift when you have it in override and it shifts for you. That's why the shifting in this video is so smooth.
dude, you are only loosing about 1500 when you shift, that's not half bad. I usually am around the 1000 zone in my 02 eclipse 4cyl, but I have done all the performance driving school stuff.
I love my eclipse 2000 V6.. It look nice, a lot of people like it

so you need to drop 1.5 seconds.
You need a performance exhaust system
Get performance spark plugs/ intercooler
or you get buy a turbo, it will drop your 0-60 to 5 sec if you spend $4,000 lol

Well I have ridden in one and sorry but over a hundred isn't where they do their damage. I got the speed limiter removed on my cav and I beat one all the way and he said he quit at 120, I pulled on him the whole time. I will give ya that they look nice, they look fast, but chick magnets not so much, where I live anyway, you need a camaro to get chicks where I come from, or gotta beat one with a slower lookin car

my moms eclipse had a turbo kit on it. that vid is from 2006 we got rid of it in 2008 it had a turbo kit after that video fuck head. We traded it in for a 2007 Acura TL-S. 160 mph in 5 gear plus theres one more gear. Get a life you fag Eclipses are girl cars.

if you have a stiff clutch, your car doesn't really have to be fast to chirp 4th. when i had a turbo LS a while back it still chirped 4th with the stiffer clutch i had even after i took the tubo kit off.... and it was slow as fuck

my tibby would own that car. eclipse got 0-60 in around 8.0 and 0-100 in about 19 sec. i raced a 5 spd from a 70 roll and had him by a fender at 120 but would have been more if i wouldnt have missed 6th gear. stock vs stock an eclipse would beat me.

must not have been an eclipse gts, although that mph range you mentioned is fairly weak for my car. but as far as 0-60 times go, you are slower. i know this because i had tiburons in mind when i bought my car, and chose mine over it. here ya go:
eclipse gts: Top speed : 130 mph(estimated)
0-60 mph : 6.9 sec.
0-¼ mile : 15.2 sec @ 92.0 mph
Tiburon:
Top speed : 137 mph
0-60 mph : 7.4 sec.(manual)
0-¼ mile : 15.6 sec @ 88.8 mph(manual)

Ok, these numbers must be off the net, just cause the manufacturer wrote those numbers or car and driver did doesn't mean they are right. I have seen a tibby stock go faster than a 7.4 and a gts faster than a 6.9. My 04 cavalier base when it was stock was supposed to go just over 9 seconds, I got it there in 7.5, Its all in the driver.

the gts had 10 hp more, doubt you will see anything hp wise to the wheels, and the gts had the MVIM(Mitsubishi Variable Induction Management), but other than that there really was no difference

I have a 03 eclipse GTS. It uses an automatic transmission with a slap-over manual override. All you do is push up on the gear shift when you have it in override and it shifts for you. That's why the shifting in this video is so smooth.
