Buy some books or check them out at the library. I like Visually Learn To Play The Guitar. It has lots if pics on every page. If you like it and keep at it you might get somewhere but it does take a lot of work. Also the new program Rocksmith is like Guitar Hero but you use a real electric guitar.

They can be expensive, but if you have a friend who plays guitar, I'm sure they would be glad to teach you some beginner stuff! First, maybe go on google and use the online tuner, and learn some chords by yourself. Have fun!

Then practice bar chords , power chords and such, and learn easy songs.

If you want to start more lead or whatever, learn scales and freely improvise.

Also learning to play a song through ear rather than tab/sheet music is a good skill

then you go to a gutiar shop aand they can teach the steps but ethier than that the frist string is e and on the giutar you have a body a neck a bridge 6 strings tuners and you might have a pic protecter so you dont scrach you gutair. well i hope those tips are helpfull i play guitar so i mostly know every thng about it
