It looks like a mixture of retro- and adenovirion.

What kind of virion is it???

The capsids do look like adenovirion, but P22 is a bacteriophage.

Thanks, it's not my field so I wouldn't find these nice data sets if they weren't pointed out to me. I've been meaning to do better renderings, with some coloring and cut-away, and it looks like this reconstruction will improve it nicely.
