Great Vid, I used to ride it alot when I lived in Virginia, and it is real pretty in the fall. The North entrance to Skyline Drive is outside of Front Royal, VA., and runs for 110 miles to I 64 at Waynesboro, where it then becomes the Blue Ridge Parkway that runs through Virginia and into North Carolina.
@asicswrestonenc Yeah, it's a pretty ride indeed. Over the years, I've managed to ride the Skyline Drive and the BRP end to end a couple of times each. Hard to beat those two roads for motorcycling!
Thank you for this video. I camped in the Loft Mountain campground many times as a child. I haven't been back in over a decade though. This brought back some great memories. Those scenic overlooks are absolutely breath taking. Definetly worth the pittance you pay to get onto Skyline Drive.
Thank YOU for watching and commenting! This was shot fairly early on in my vlogging life, and it's still one of my favorites. Shenandoah Park is an absolute gem!
Make sure to pick some ripe persimmons in the fall. They're really good. I picked a lot along the skyline drive and planted the seeds up here in the mountains of New York State.
I can't recall ever eating a persimmon, and wouldn't recognize one if it was sitting in front of me! Thanks for the heads up, though. I'll do a little research, and be on the lookout next time! :)
Thanks! I love the Skyline Drive. Hopefully I'll get to experience the Trail Ridge Road someday. Now I'm gonna try and find some videos from up there! :)
Thank you for the compliment. I'll probably never post a riding video without some commentary, no matter how lame it may be. It was this sort of moto vlog that inspired me to participate in the first place, and I'm sticking to it ! :)
Thanks for the vid! Me and a friend plan on driving through this park on our trip from Cincinnati to DC in September. Good to actually see some footage of it...looks great!
This vid shows from about mile marker 65 to 95, heading south. The park road is 105 miles of smooth and twisty asphalt, with no stop signs and lots of great views. I'm sure that you'll love it, and September should be a good time to be up there ... after summer vacation and before the leaf peepers!
It's a great road. I'm not sure how far the south end of the park in Waynesboro is from your area, but it shouldn't be too bad. If you do go, try and do it mid week. As a national park, it has lot's of traffic on weekends.
Nice video

Cool video........good job on holding the cam steady!

Thanks man. I can't take any credit for the steady camera. It just sits in my helmet, and the Kodak v570 takes care of the rest. Thanks for watching!

Great video! Skyline Drive in the autumn and Trail Ridge Road by Mt. Evans in Colorado during the summer are my favorite drives of all.

What a pleasant fellow! It's nice to have a little commentary going, instead of really bad music that only a deaf person could enjoy. Thank you!
