Sega has become infamous for making flashy Sonic trailers that are designed to get your hopes up.

As for what I've seen. there are so many things I don't like already. Even in this video, the swordplay vastly conflicts with the speed of Sonic as seen in 0:37 to 0:42. Not only that but I worry exactly how heavy on the wiimote this game with be. I like playing games, not getting carpal tunnel.

However, I felt the same for Sonic Unleashed and that turned out decent.

@Zerobadniks dude you got to differentiate a trailers game play and actual game play mostly because it is an advertisement simply to make the game look awesome with fast passe gameplay colors and cut scenes from the game. actual gameplay is when none of that advertisement horseshit can play its role in fooling you that it is a good game allowing you to have a better knowledge of the games actual features. in my opinion sonic started to suck dick past the sega.

What the hell? This is just Sonic and the Secret Rings with a fucking sword! The graphics are the same, the gameplay looks the same. Hell, that girl in the purple looks just like Shara! (Pointy ears, crazy hair, ect.) The only difference is, this game is SLOWER!!! In this trailer, Sonic stops every 2 seconds to slash away with that sword! I think I'll just stick with the day stages in Sonic Unleashed.

Well, Unleashed had mixed reviews, and Chronicles had fairly good reviews(BioWare helped make it so you know it's good), and this game looks promising. If it's successful, then Sonic may have made a comeback, but we'll just have to see.

I think that Unleashed was vastly underrated. Maybe nobody liked Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg and that's why they hate the Werehog. It's a very similar style of gameplay. But that game is fantastic, I'm sure Chronicles is amazing, and don't forget Rush, since both those games are great. Sonic is coming back!

The daytime levels in Unleashed were fantastic, it's just that the Werehog stuff made up the majority of the gameplay and that tends to be rather boring. Anyways, I think Sonic is a bit under-rated. People say the whole series has gone to crap, but the only recent entries that were that bad were Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 2006. Secret Rings had mixed reception, and the 2D ones are still great. People just can't get over the other two games.
