  • Nice one,

my grade 9 PB for the 60 was at a meet at York University,

    Ran 7.51 .. 2nd place was 7.52.. insanely close.

  • Good form, I am sure you can run faster than 8.13...

  • pb is currently 7.72s. also have a wind aided 7.55s...

  • Yeah..no offence, but when I was 6 years old.. I ran the 60 in 6.41 sec.....*bursts out laughing*

OK so the truth is..I was 19, the wind was to my back and it was downhill... :)

Oh and good job BTW. Not the fastest, but at the very least, you're out there trying to get faster.

    Cheers

  • hey greg was woundering if you had posted any more vidos up lol hows the hammy going???

if you want to get good top end speed try this at training.

mark out 90m and each 30m build up your speed

    so like 1st 30m 75% 2nd 30m 80% 3rd 30m 85% and the last 30m 100%

    or do in's and out's

    mark out 100m

    start of rollin

first 30m realyd hard driving 40m come up and hold your form and last 30m 100%

    give them a try

  • thanks for the suggestion, damian. that's actually one of my favourite exercises and always seems to preceed good races.

I was looking out for you at stawell but I didn't see you there. did you change your mind about going??

  • but my 100m time is 13.31. so does that mean i have bad top end speed/speed endurance? if so how can i improve it

  • it is hard to make a judgement unless you are talking about electronic timing. if your results are handtimed then you usually need to assume that the "actual" time is around 0.2-5s slower. you probably need to improve everything. as the distances get longer handtimed results become proportionally more accurate and will give you a better indication of where you are at...

  • how is it 0.2 0.5 slower? electronic time make sureit is exact so it would be two tenths of a second faster!!

  • because there is a delay at the start due to the reaction time of the timer. also, timers tend to anticipate the finish a bit...

  • at least you got the guts to put your time up
