Depends what you're comparing. It's not like all American cars own all European cars. For example, a Lingenfelter Corvette could own plenty of Euro cars. Yet a Porsche 911 Turbo 997 could take plenty of American cars. American cars are pretty good until you get to a road race. American cars can only go fast in a straight line. Front-engine, rwd, V8 or bigger = poor cornering. Mid-engine makes for much better handling. Ford GT is about the only American car that's good all-around.
You tell me who is the drift king. I bet you the FQ400 could out-drift plenty of cars. I would say the real "king" of the drift world is the Nissan Silvia. More specifically, the Sileighty. There aren't many cars that measure up to is for drifting. The Viper can't drift worth a crap. Tokyo Drift is unrealistic. That Mustang would have slid right off the road or spun out. It's a boat, like the Viper.
I guarantee you a Nissan Silvia is a better drift car than any old muscle cars. Just because a Mustang can drift on Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift doesn't mean it's true. That old Mustang weighs about twice what a Silvia does. It would have slid right off the road.
The problem I see with the Viper is that it's frontheavy. It has a frickin 500 cubic-inch V10. That's way more engine than most cars need to perform well. I'd say even a 7.0-liter V8 in cars like the Corvette is pushing it. It's different when you build a car for drag, or driving in a straight or nearly-straight path, but something like road racing, a high displacement engine is not what you want. You're better off with something the size of what the Skyline has.
The displacement of an engine does not matter one bit, in fact a larger engine in a sports car is usually more reliable and fuel efficient because it doesn't have to work as hard. The only thing that matters is how much it weighs. Do yourself a favor and look up the weight of a Viper, Corvette, GT-R, and whatever else you want to find. I think you will be surprised
There is even a video right here on YouTube, and if you're too lazy, I'll look it up. But it's a Ferrari F355 racing against a first-gen Dodge Viper. You clearly can see that the race is way up in the hills/mountains where there are winding raods and "drift" corners. The first thing that happens, the Viper attempts to take the corner and slides right off the cliff. And the Ferrari takes the corner like it's nothing. Difference is, Ferrari weighed about 1/2 of what the Viper did.

I stand corrected, clearly you can get over 800KW from a V8, the man who managed that obviously is a motoring genius, BUT you cannot get 747KW from a late 80's Mustang, Its impossible the thing would break apart as soon as you got it to a higher speed, it would need strengthening, new steering, modern engine, new trans, new suspension, shocks... by the time you had finished investing about €400K you might be able to achieve around 650KW, although it would be incredibly dangerous to drive.

Depends what you're comparing. It's not like all American cars own all European cars. For example, a Lingenfelter Corvette could own plenty of Euro cars. Yet a Porsche 911 Turbo 997 could take plenty of American cars. American cars are pretty good until you get to a road race. American cars can only go fast in a straight line. Front-engine, rwd, V8 or bigger = poor cornering. Mid-engine makes for much better handling. Ford GT is about the only American car that's good all-around.

You tell me who is the drift king. I bet you the FQ400 could out-drift plenty of cars. I would say the real "king" of the drift world is the Nissan Silvia. More specifically, the Sileighty. There aren't many cars that measure up to is for drifting. The Viper can't drift worth a crap. Tokyo Drift is unrealistic. That Mustang would have slid right off the road or spun out. It's a boat, like the Viper.

I guarantee you a Nissan Silvia is a better drift car than any old muscle cars. Just because a Mustang can drift on Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift doesn't mean it's true. That old Mustang weighs about twice what a Silvia does. It would have slid right off the road.

The problem I see with the Viper is that it's frontheavy. It has a frickin 500 cubic-inch V10. That's way more engine than most cars need to perform well. I'd say even a 7.0-liter V8 in cars like the Corvette is pushing it. It's different when you build a car for drag, or driving in a straight or nearly-straight path, but something like road racing, a high displacement engine is not what you want. You're better off with something the size of what the Skyline has.

The displacement of an engine does not matter one bit, in fact a larger engine in a sports car is usually more reliable and fuel efficient because it doesn't have to work as hard. The only thing that matters is how much it weighs. Do yourself a favor and look up the weight of a Viper, Corvette, GT-R, and whatever else you want to find. I think you will be surprised

There is even a video right here on YouTube, and if you're too lazy, I'll look it up. But it's a Ferrari F355 racing against a first-gen Dodge Viper. You clearly can see that the race is way up in the hills/mountains where there are winding raods and "drift" corners. The first thing that happens, the Viper attempts to take the corner and slides right off the cliff. And the Ferrari takes the corner like it's nothing. Difference is, Ferrari weighed about 1/2 of what the Viper did.

I stand corrected, clearly you can get over 800KW from a V8, the man who managed that obviously is a motoring genius, BUT you cannot get 747KW from a late 80's Mustang, Its impossible the thing would break apart as soon as you got it to a higher speed, it would need strengthening, new steering, modern engine, new trans, new suspension, shocks... by the time you had finished investing about €400K you might be able to achieve around 650KW, although it would be incredibly dangerous to drive.

The veryon is a proper legal car, the viper is quote : "According to testing by Motor Trend in 2006, the Venom failed street-legal smog testing due to excess carbon monoxide output". So the viper has the same HP, is lighter , is slow to 60, never makes it to 253, and is not road legal. the veyrron has these acc. stats : 0-60 mph 2.46 seconds/
0-100 mph 5.5 seconds /0-150 mph 9.8 seconds/0-200 mph 24.2 seconds/ 0-250 mph 55 seconds.
