My perception of the Rock leaving for Hollywood was that wrestling wasn't good enough anymore. I'm sure that's not true, but the mere thought of the Rock being perfectly capable of wrestling (and still in his prime when he left) made me feel like wrestling wasn't cool enough. @3badi18ittihadi The Rock is also in the new G.I Joe movie that is about to be released in summer 2012. I think all the wrestlers are jealous that Rock became a successful movie star while they all tried to be one as well but failed.

@GrandFunker Rock wasn't shoved down peoples throat. Initially he was as Rocky Maivia but then he went on his own and The fans accepted him. He doesn't act like hes above the business, hes put over alot of talent during his time and even bothered to come back. As well as always being positive about the business while he was gone. Hes an ok actor that still racks in some good roles and is making great money. If you dont like rock fine, but most of what you said here is very off.

If Cenas lameass movies had been successful he would have left WWE as well. It's easy to stay loyal when WWE are the only ones willing to pay him the big bucks.

I can see cena's point but he and everyone that is bashing the rock has to understand the rock literally accomplished about everything that he wanted to in the double dose he didn't just take his ball and go home like goldberg and lesnar did, or pull a no show like michaels or hogan. he saw a career that he wanted to try and grew a liking for it. when he saw he couldn't do both, he retired from in ring competition. he never once talked shit about wrestling or the wwe negatively.

i don't mind him wanting to be an actor and part time wrestler, by all means i applaud him for it.. what gets under my skin is a "main event" being booked a year in advance with a guy who's never around is in it. but i don't take it out on the rock because i know he just does as he's told and i think that's what fans forget is they take things out personally on wrestlers when they are not in control of what happens. they just do their job
