I think i actually used a windows 3.1 system several times before. I used to go to a friends house back in 2001 and play red alert on it. I'm very sure I remember the ta da sound on start up.

I remember the square mouse and playing 'Descent' and 'Descent II' on a 133mhz Pentium that was extremely cutting edge at its time. It cost over 3000 dollars since we had a computer guy custom build it for us. It had an astronomical 1.6Gb harddrive and a whopping 32mb of RAM. And of course the blazing fast 4X Cd-ROM. Those were the days when Cd-ROMs were measured in speeds based on "X". To top it off, it came with speakers and a SUPER VGA monitor. Talk about super, right?
