As you said, you played LoL and you didn't like it because perphaps you are more into fighting games, FPS, RTS, etc. There are certain things that differentiate Dota2 from LoL aside from the obvious graphic difference. For example in this game you can kill your own units deniying xp and gold to the enemy. You cant do that in LoL. But that is just one of many differences.

I think HoN will maintain its supremacy even after DotA is released... judging from the video the gameplay looks as slow as LoL's or even worse... it lacks the fast paced dynamic combat that only HoN managed to obtain.

@ChaoticBFly Yes, I wasn't referring to supremacy in terms of player base, it's obvious that players feel attracted to LoL because it's easier to master, HoN's learning curve is much steeper because the game is much more demanding strategically, it also has a much faster pace so the skirmishes are tougher to manage. As for the old DotA I believe the player base must be mostly from South Korea, Malaysia, China, hardcore gamers from asian countries in general, most of which play through Garena.
